I’d love to see your take on the celestial lions, also brothers to your Templars and saved by Reclusiarch Grimaldis. Nearly decimated during the third war for Armageddon they’ve come back from the brink! I think it would be a great showcase of your talents getting a primarily golden armor to not appear so flat and lacking in range and appearance

5:33 - The Horus Heresy novels give another origin of the Crimson Fists' name and distinctive colour scheme. After Alexis Polux, the Imperial Fist who would become the Crimson Fists' first Chapter Master, lost his left hand during the Battle of Phall, he received a cloned replacement that took time to grow in-place. During its growth, it was blood-red; the narration constantly references his "crimson fist" whenever he appears.

I really like using makeup sponges with transfers but for smaller things I use Eye Shadow Sponge Applicators. They are like a flat Q-Tip but with the same spongy material that the wedges are made of... they're awesome

OMG! I JUST finished this model! I remember getting some money from my Dad to buy this kit as a kid. I was so intimidated to paint it because I knew I wanted to it to be a quality I wasn’t at, that it sat in my pile of shame for years while I worked on other miniature projects. This year I finally tackled it and just hit it with a black ring last week. It has felt incredible to finally have painted and is definitely the highest quality painting project I’ve completed in this hobby! SO cool to get to see this while I can look at mine on my desk :D

I just wanted to say, I love all of your videos, I check every day to see if you guys have released another. Every time I get burnt out on assembling models, or painting, you guys always reinvigorate my hobby spirit. I managed to snag the inner-circle task force battleforce box, would you be willing to paint up the Long John Lion himself and maybe a squad of deathwing knights? I know your particular flavor of grim dark is black templars, which is why I would love to see your take on the deathwing and I wanted some inspiration before I got started on them. I really do hope you do some Chaos/Traitor Marine factions. Some of them have some super rad designs! Like my boys, the Night Lords! Awesome midnight blue paint with skull-faced helms and light blue lightning markings across the armor. They always look rad! But, as for the Loyalists, if you want an interesting paint project consider the Iron Lords! They're an Iron Hands successor Chapter, with a super cool design of the traditional Iron Hands black armor, but with red legs, which gives them a cool contrast and makes them distinct from other all-black chapters like the Black Templars or Iron Hands themselves.

Very classy looking paint job. Painting warbands would be cool as a follow up. Given the recent reveals, I wouldn't mind seeing you paint different aspect warriors or Phoenix lords. I'm not an Eldar player but I feel like part of the reason so many post 8th fans will say the same is because creators don't really work with them. Come on Jay you can't resist the idea of having a squad of each aspect with their accompanying Phoenix lord, if for no other reason than to display as a set! Heck maybe STL crew could make some Craftworld Terrain. Thanks for always putting out such great videos!!!

Hey, Jay! I just got into Warhammer recently and it's been great studying this Chapter-by-Chapter series of videos, picking up tips and seeing what's possible for my own Marine Chapter. I love the kitbashing/converting side of the hobby, so I'm really jumping in with both feet - and I've picked up some cool techniques from these videos (especially for basing!), so thank you! If you're still doing Loyalist Chapters, could I put in a pitch for the Dark Krakens? I haven't finished reading the whole Codex yet, but of all the Successor Chapters, honestly the only ones I would ever consider instead of my own are the purple guys who live on an ocean planet and hunt its "bioluminescent megafauna and shoal predators for sport and nourishment". Plus they're apparently descended from the Salamanders. So when they're not fighting or surfing on giant glowing squid monsters, they're probably pretty chill guys. Either way: keep up the good work :)

You could try Relictors. Their scheme isn't likely to excite you, but you can kit bash them with Choas weapons and equipment as they wanted to turn those items against their makers
