I suffered from meningitis in 2009 when I was born. I suffered from brain damage and to this day I still struggle with memory loss. I am very lucky as i survived, but I could of died. I can’t imagine life without the suffering from meningitis... At least I still have my limbs. Good luck to anyone who has it ❤️

i too am a victim of bacterial meningitis. i was 6 weeks old when i contracted the infection. I'm 46 and still live with the effects that have impaired my abilities. i can't imagine life without this feeling of being broken. I've struggled my whole life in silence, knowing that my issues go unnoticed and its difficult for most people to understand this invisible handicap. even as i write this response i tackle with the proper words to express my self. you are a true soldier. A warrior of life, fighting to move forward. I implore the strength, courage and drive it takes to strive ahead. So understand that your story is inspiring to the masses, and my self included keeping me from sinking into a pit of despair and self pity. I'm just thankful for my aimless wandering through the internet in a desperate attempt to find relatable stories. Stories such as yours that remind me that life has no planned path, to not harp on what could of been; and most importantly keep moving forward. thank you

Rashes are usually the end signs or it may not appear at all. You shouldn’t wait till rashes because it can be too late or that’s at least what I heard. Stay safe 🙂
