Honestly I finally felt 100% myself when I got into my 30s! The best birthday advice I ever got was to enjoy getting older because there are a lot of people that don't get the privilege to age.

I know what you mean about those big birthdays and it’s such a point of reflection. My brother died in an accident at age 26 which changed how I look at birthdays. Now each year I remind myself to be grateful for my birthday in honour of my brother who would have loved to see more birthdays.

I was expecting my first child on my 30th birthday, so it was kind of a low key celebration. She was born just a few weeks later! Honestly, 30 was not a worry for me. I was a bit more stoic at 40, but my favorite was 50! It was very freeing! I believe you should celebrate every birthday because I believe life is a gift from God! A birthday is a celebration of all that life has given & taught you. The more years you have, the more gifts to reflect upon! I hope you are able to make your 30th birthday a special celebration! Sending prayers for a wonderful first year of school for y'all! God bless!

Birthdays are very healthy. The more you have the older you get. I love to make my round birthdays a big party so I am looking forward to spending a fun time with my friends and family. Had my 50th last year and made it Minion themed, like a Kids birthday. You can't change growing old, but who said you have to grow up? Just have fun and enjoy

When a friend of mine turned 30, she celebrated her birthday month by doing one special thing each day for 30 days. They were simple things like getting her nails done, having something special done with her hair (color or cut), going to a concert or movie, a date night with her significant other, going out to her favorite restaurant, visiting a museum or historical site she always wanted to visit, etc. It was a memorable month for her!

I don’t really do Birthday parties. So when I turned 30 we rented out a room at a local restaurant and had a huge family and friends get together. It was so much fun and it was one of the last times I was out with my grandpa before he passed so that really sticks with me and I was so thankful for that party even though it wasn’t something I normally would have done. It is such a sweet memory of my grandpa being with the whole family.

I remember sending my daughter to school for pre K. I ended up starting homeschooling her in kindergarten. She’s now in 7th grade and will be 13 in Nov. Then my baby is going to be 10 and he’s in 4th grade. I’ll be 39 this year. It crazy to think I’m almost out of my 30s as your entering your 30s. Honestly I was definitely better in my 30s. I am happier. I honestly can’t wait to see where my 40s take me. Thank you for the beautiful videos you always put out.

I use to make “Trail Mix” with popcorn for my kids and nieces/nephews when they were younger. I would add M&Ms, chocolate chips (after popcorn cools), nuts, dried fruit, Chex mix, dry cereal etc..odds and ends of any kind of snack foods that I had, especially if there was only a little bit left, in order to use it up. It was just a little fun way to change things up a little as they loved to discover what was in the mix each time. Toffee sunflower seeds (unshelled) were also a favorite to put in the mix. I made the toffee by melting butter, sugar and a little cream or milk ( you can also make just a peanut brittle type coating by not adding the milk, I added cinnamon occasionally) then poured over the seeds. I laid them out on parchment paper until cooled, then stored them in a container. They’re great for camping too!

I celebrated my 30th birthday only with my boyfriend at home. It was the most regulated lockdown in 2020 in Germany, so we were only allowed to have some people over and I neither wanted to decide who (his OR my family) and I also did not want to throw several parties. Restaurants and nearly everything beside grocery stores were closed though. So I made a cheesecake for myself and homemade pizza and that was my 30th. Yay! My quilt guild did surprise me with patchwork blocks that I still need to Turn into a quilt. xoxo from Germany Stephanie

My birthday is on dec.16 and a good friend of mine his birthday is on dec.15th. when we turned 30 his wife and my sister in law planned a weekend away the weekend before our birthdays. To a Christian Camp up north my parents were the property managers. They provided the food and we had snow we made an igloo outside and just enjoyed gods creation and some of our good friends came with us. It was a good time. My gifts were a ring with my birthstone and 2 really good canoe paddles.

I say, embrace your years as they go by! I’m even embracing my gray “wisdom hairs” as I like to call them! Not for everyone, but I like them! :) On my 30th, we took the kids (ages 2, 4, 6) to the art museum in DC. I am 60 years old and my mom had cast iron skillets, and I have cook many, many times with cast iron and used metal utensils in them all the time, and not one time did the metal harm the cast iron in any way. True! I think that's a myth derived from not using metal scrubbers on them. So love my cast iron!!

I concur. Cast iron as supper durable, you really don’t have to baby them at all. After all, they’re the pan you can dig out of grandpa’s barn, clean it up and reseason it and it’s as good as new!

I always heard metal on cast iron just adds more iron to the food. 🤷🏼‍♀️

30’s are good. You are still young enough to enjoy life, and you start gaining the full respect of your elders.

Turning 30 was a big deal to me. I was so excited! I felt like my children do when their birthday is coming. Hence my confusion when one of my friends turned 30, and she was anything but excited 😊

@@MeganFoxUnlocked oh my goodness!! I will say I felt weird turning 30. I still felt like I was in my early twenties, but I just kept being myself, growing as a person, & being thankful for every day that God gives me. I had two children when I turned 30 & then God blessed my husband & me with a surprise baby when I was 32! So that was something wonderful that happened in my 30’s. I’m now 43 (that was a strange feeling too) & starting to realize a few limitations that weren’t there before.😄 I am blessed with very active healthy parents that taught me not to let a number control how I felt about myself. My mom also had lots of elderly friends, when I was a child, that were quite spunky, so I saw firsthand how your mindset determines how you enjoy life. I’ve met people in there 80’s & 90’s that had more energy & drive than some people in there 40’s & 50’s. So, after all of that, I would like to encourage you to celebrate the day God put you on this earth & don’t grieve over any certain “number” being over. Reflect, enjoy your memories, grow from mistakes, but continue your path, full of the joy of the Lord! ❤️

Just a tip: there's a better way to fold burritos, do the first fold just like you did then also fold the opposite side, then just roll it, it'll have no openings.

My husband and I flew to Sedona Arizona for my birthday three years ago. The red rocks are so amazing! Rent a car in Scottsdale and drive to the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend! ♨️♨️♨️

My daughter is turning 30 as well soon and she is a bit scared of it. So I made a basket with 30 gifts for her which she gets 30 days before her birthday. One gift per day to make the journey to her birthday a bit more pleasant.

Some yummy lunch ideas. When I saw your napkin, I smiled. I used to write & draw on all my daughter's napkins. She wouldn't use them. She saved them. Enjoy all your birthdays!! 30 is just a number!!!!

It's daunting turning 30 but it's not as bad as it seems I promise. We went to the city and stayed in a historic hotel and ate gorgeous food for my 30th. My 31st I went and had a full on fancy high tea.

Girl I’m 50 yrs old and will be 51 in November so you are still young. 30’s were awesome. You should go skydiving 🪂. I was diagnosed with Leukemia 8 yrs ago and I’m on chemo pills daily. I had to quit my job in the medical field over 2 years ago and finally got disability a few months ago and had a mild heart attack a few weeks ago. It’s all ok. I’m still alive and love life. Enjoy your 30’s ~ you will see it’s not a big change at all. It’s just a number.

When I turned 30 I had four kids, the oldest being 10. We were in the car on our way to my parent’s house for a bit of a party. One of the youngest kids asked, “How old are you today, Mom?” Everyone said loudly in unison, “She’s 30!” I immediately teared up, it sounded so old when they all said it loud like that. So funny. I was fine with it up til then and fine afterward. I know it seems old when you are still in your 20s, but when you are much older you realize just how young you were!
