Thank you for this important information. Menopause is NO joke. None of these symptoms are particularly pleasant, that's for sure. Very undesirable. I started perimenopause at age 45yrs. I am now 55 yrs. Anxiety was the first and worst... I cut out caffeine, alchohol, and tried to reduce stress and did more exercise. One thing I have noticed is that for most changes, e.g, weight gain, sleep issues, rising blood pressure, cold/ flashes, crown hair loss, brain fog. I cut down on sugar, flour products, late eating and do intermittent fasting helped. We need to respect our age. Stop eating late, fast foods, high salt foods, ultra processed foods etc. And most of all I jog, or walk. I drank fruit (berry) smoothies, Chamomile tea.

@@lyndoraburroughs-robinson5663 It wasn't for me. I tried HRT and it caused issues. As I stated I went through at 48 yo and I am 67 now. So the issues I experienced then, I'm not experiencing now. Menopause, positive attitude, no problems at all, in fact I prayed for it to come on, only a few night sweats never felt better, sex life interest actually increased due to no longer concerned about additional children in my 40s (last one at 42 all babies healthy and well) was so wonderful to me, so I did not have all these mood swing symptoms and was not interested in any medication. Sure I did get arm pain that I cured with arm exercise and omega 3. I also gain weight, but after being 120-30 during adult life 50 pounds looked great on me, I just bought a new wardrobe.😅.

I am not afraid to talk about menopause. I wish OBGYN would be more open regarding the subject. I have learned about perimenopause/ menopause by doing my own research.

I was complaining to a girlfriend by text messages about my weight gain, sweating 🥵, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia and depression. When I told her my dress size she called to tell me I need to see a OBGYN doctor I’m going through menopause.

Thank you so much for sharing these symptoms. I experienced unforseen migraines and when I saw a headache specialist/neurologist, she said the migraines were linked to me going through menopause. I couldn't have ever figured that one out without speaking to a medical person. My doc suggested that I start different supplements especially with the brain fog and I feel a lot better after consistently taking supplements. I still experience hot flashes but not as often. As soon as you feel a hot flash coming on, drink a cold bottle of water n you will feel better! ❤

Habiba, thank you for presenting this topic. I suffered so much during my transition to the point where I thought I was loosing it. Only to find out my symptoms were the start of menopause. For those who are just starting to experience the transition period, they would benefit from hearing what others have gone through. I know you are busy and have other things going on, but it would be nice if you could do a live session. It is interesting to hear what others have experienced and what actions were taken. Once again thank you.

I am so glad one of my favorite content creators touched on this. My mom and I aren’t close, she did not help with understanding what was happening to me. I’m now 45, and the irritability started right before my birthday in January, although I missed periods last year. No one talks about the sadness of not being able to have children anymore-I never got permanent birth control because I wanted to keep my options open. (I am a mother of 4, though😊). Fixes for me include: Magnesium glycinate helps with the lack of sleep. I also take Natures Craft: Perimenopause support, found on Amazon. It contains Maca Root that helps with hot flashes, night sweats, and libido. My dr suggested Vitamin A. I even got diagnosed with ADHD…I’m back on birth control, but have a history of blood clots, so I will be working closely with my cardiologist regarding this. Next steps for me: weights, walking, and clean up my eating habits.
