Let's Talk Menopause

Күн бұрын

The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) recently released updated menopause hormone therapy guidelines, and we are eager to share with you what has changed.
Are you:
In your fifties and having difficult symptoms like hot flashes, insomnia, or mood changes?
In your 20’s or 30’s finding yourself in early menopause from Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)?
Experiencing vaginal dryness, painful sex and/or urinary leaks but don’t know what your options are because you are a breast cancer survivor or have a family history of breast cancer?
In late perimenopause and wondering if you should go on hormone therapy once you reach menopause?
Taking hormones and wondering if you need to stop taking them?
The new NAMS guidelines address these situations and more. They are worth understanding because NAMS, a nonprofit medical society whose members include experts across the medical professions, is known as the leading evidence-based resource on midlife women’s health and menopause.
Two practitioners, researchers, and leaders in the menopause field-Dr. Jewel Kling and Dr. Paru David, both from the Mayo Clinic-will address how the guideline changes will affect millions of women and the confusions many of us have. They will leave ample time to answer your questions, so come prepared! The more we know, the better we can navigate our healthcare in mid-life and well beyond.
