You enter low state of ketosis. There are already many benefits of ketosis from studies. He may be on paleo but he recognizes the benefits of it and puts himself in a ketosis state in the mornings. That's why he drinks bulletproof coffee. He isn't a strict paleo dieter. He eats some processed foods as he revealed at the start like the pan cakes lol

How this guy didn't win an Emmy for Kingdom astounds me. Incredible show and some of the best acting you're gonna find on the small screen, not just from him, but the whole cast.
