Thank you so very much for this post! I struggle with depression, anxiety, past trauma, and other issues. I always believe it is so important to be kind, for you never know what someone is going through. Love each other, and be healthy, everyone!!!

yes! i got two briliant books years ago in WHS. unfortunately i never finished either of them (one was the CBT and the other positive thinking) but i did read maybe 20 pages of the CBT and remember loving it, it especially made me realise, that the thoughts i was having were dysfunctional and not reality. i should see if i still got them! always wanted to finish them :) thank you for being back on youtube!

I have been on meds since last fall, too...I was hesitant, because in the past I've had issues with doc's actually OVERprescribing me meds and that messed me up...but coupled with counseling, meds have REALLY helped me change my life for the better! It is also important to have loving people in your corner, helping you fight. Each day is a gift! ⚘💮🌸💐💖💗🇺🇸😇

I suffer with bipolar, and there's such a stigma against it. If something legitimately upsets me, I'm allowed to be sad, but I have people telling me I'm on a down, I'm having a depressive episode. Same with when I'm happy, people just assume I'm on a manic. Most of my friends suffer with mental health issues, it's either anxiety or depression. It's so common now, something about our generation means that half of us have a mental health issue. I hate the way people walk on eggshells around me. I'm 22, yet I have people treating me like I'm still a teenager. I go to work, I go out, I have a laugh with my friends. I'm just like everyone else, sometimes I'm just...extremely happy/sad. Thanks for this video, especially the part about medication (I've had some awful experiences on meds) honestly next time i get into an argument about mental health, I'll just send them this video and give them the middle finger, I'm tired of having to prove that I'm not insane. Wow, this was a long rant and I have work in five minutes...but yeah thank you for this. It was a good start to the day. You're an inspiration

We have a mental health awareness week in here in Ireland but I'm not sure if it's the same week as in the UK cuz I haven't heard anything about the it this week. I'm always thinking about mental health cuz I've had three close friends in the last few years deal with mental health issues. Two of them had to take time off school. It's extremely hard seeing someone you love and care about go through unfair shit like depression and anxiety. It's so true what you're saying. Their struggle was (and still) is very real. I think it's very brave that you're speaking about your struggles. Not everyone is able to. You're very brave speaking up about something that should be spoken about regularly. Kisses from Ireland 😘☘️
