eventhough i wish you could have finished school like normal, i'm so glad to see someone out there who didn't cause of their mental health, just like me. i'm 25 now and will do exams in a few weeks to finally get into uni hopefully. somehow people seem to forget that mental illness doesn't only make you poorly, it also affects your whole life path, which often times leads to ones mental health getting even worse. and especially when you live with it as a teenager, when you are supposed to lay the foundation for your future with school and stuff, it can influence your life so much. so thanks for the representation and happy birthday

I loved watching this, it was so interesting so see the difference in you then to now. Mad to think I’ve been watching you for 6 years. That blows my mind. Look at the women you have become. 💗💗

This is so sweet, almost like you're being an older sister to your younger self. You should be so proud of how far you've come, thank you for this x

Omg 3:17 where you literally said what "past you" said before it got to that part and you got weirded out HAHAH your face there is iconic!!! it's honestly so weird knowing there was a past self that existed and we can evolve and change so much as time goes. You sounded so different Marie!!! your voice was somewhat like 2 pitches higher? and idk if it's because you've been on KZbin since 2016 but your confidence in talking on camera has grown! So thankful that you've still been continuing to talk about mental health on KZbin and for how long you've shared your journey!! You're not someone who represents people with BPD but as a person who struggles with it and continues to speak about it openly on KZbin it's massive and you're like a voice for those who are scared to share about BPD like myself. Thank you

omg you were 17 in the video!! aha I feel like our teenage years were literally gone in a blur. but wow!! Baby Marie!! also, I wonder if at the time you knew of BPD?

I had a similar situation with school. Took a few days off at the start of year 10, intended to go back but ended up taking 3-4 years off to get myself better! Now I’m at uni with the qualifications I need and doing what I love

Omg I relate to this so much about validation. I was so desperate to know what I am struggling with. I was diagnosed with BPD when I turned 18, which also turned out that it wasn't right. Now many years later I have been diagnosed with bipolar with psychotic features, and it later changed to schizoaffective. I am still struggling to get BPD off my charts even though it doesn't fit anymore. I was so different when I was younger to how I am now. It is possible BPD remits but I think it is also very likely that it is overdiagnosed in younger people before their personality is even stabilised.

my birthday's the day before yours, we have VERY similar experiences and I am pretty sure we have been to the same hospital, at different times. I've been watching for two years now, and I appreciate your honesty more than anyone else on this platform (obviously Pip too ur both amazing). I hope you realise how much of a positive influence you are in this world

Hey Marie you sound totally different. Was really insightful to watch this knowing that we have spoken on a couple of occasions. It’s actually really nice to watch this as it helps understand your story a lot better. You made me out saying that you were 17 on an adult ward! You’ve got so much experience in this industry and it’s so great to see you using this to help others! P.s my mum is now your biggest fan after our live haha! Xx
