My mission in life after surviving from suicide attempts is to eliminate the stigma associated with depression and suicide by promoting and encouraging not only the diagnosis and treatment of depression among young adults, but also the education of young people, their families, and friends about the disease of depression. A depressed person will observe happy people around him and feel as though it is impossible for him to ever feel that way. A depressed person may feel like they are a burden to others, especially family members or friends. For this reason, they may be reluctant to share their emotional experiences, further isolating themselves. There may be cyclical shifts in mood throughout the day; this can lead people to believe that they are not truly depressed because they feel a bit better at certain times of the day.

I hope you are well, and that you’re spreading your knowledge onto others as much as you can. I hope you don’t fall back into this rut of ours, but just know that if you do fall again there are others out there on both sides of this emotional coin. Thank you, and please keep living.

Liver is a great animal source, which you can sautee with onions, or put on skewers, roast over an open fire, and add salt and pepper! Good vegan sources include nutritional yeast and mushrooms!

Depression is part of our moods just like JOY, HAPPINESS, CALM, ECSTATIC, ANXIOUS, ROMANTIC, PENSIVE, ANGER, LOVING, ANNOYED, BAD, FRUSTRATED, HUMOROUS, DREAMY etc etc etc . All above are different FACETS (like in DIAMONDS) of our minds, which is what makes our mind rich and beautiful. Once we truly understand this, then the need to reject a part of our minds doesn’t arise. Even negative facets can be used ALERTLY to reach positive results. The Depression facet is mysterious and invisible thereby making it difficult to understand. Therefore we engage in a blind boxing bout with depression in order to get rid of it. Blind boxing will exhaust us and push us in a downward spiral. The solution lies in ACCEPTANCE and by doing so not only does depression stop bothering us but it further enriches ourselves. When you meet depression next time, befriend it and invite it for a cup of tea. Thank it for adding richness to your life. Will the mountain look beautiful if there was no valley ? Will the valley look beautiful if there was no mountain ? OBSERVE your various moods and don't get identified to it. Use your moods, but don't get used by it. P.S. MOOD = A mood is a feeling or a person's specific state of mind at any particular time. P.P.S DIAMONDS = The way a diamond is cut determines its proportions, which in turn affect the way the stone will reflect light. The diamonds that are cut with better proportions (facets) have more BRILLIANCE

This is a perfect example to explain my special condition. Unlike the standard bi-polar, or skitzo. I have damaged chemical processors. They regulate themselvs only with food & rest. Medication isn't something I want to rely on. I'm not sure exactly where the damage is however I know it's not so bad if iv had pleanty of sleep & good food, althought conditions have to be nearly perfect. Els I have to be drugged up by a doctor & practically non-respondive with no livliness. The damage causes clonic-toni ziesures, from being unaware of exsaustion or unable to sleep in sertain environments without meds. The meds don't have great long term effects & have debilitating side effects. Staying home, is the most healthy choice for me, & avoiding certain snack foods regarding a very strange alergy.

The mind is not located within the brain - Just as the internet is not located within the computer. The brain merely expresses the mind so it must be kept in the best possible condition in order to allow one to fully express ones mind. Keep the brain in good health by bringing a strong blood flow to it, nourish the pituitary, balance the hormones this way and not through the introduction of artificial chemistry. Learn how to, and practice headstands several times per day, if this is difficult bring the head to the knees and breathe steadily for a few minutes instead. Feel the difference within a few days. If you have a poor bio computer ( brain ) then you will struggle, just a s you would with a poor internet connection to your computer. The mind never decays - It is eternal. Keep the brain healthy. Don't abuse it, once the nerves are gone, they are gone for good.

I wanna ask a question, if your body had zero problems related to it, aren't all mental states result of what's happening around the person? In that case, isn't the environment the problem and not the person? Why are we so busy trying to 'fix' a person when she/he is only reacting to their past environment? Shouldn't we be more concentrated on fixing the horrible society and overall system that is causing such a severe reaction? It feels like we are avoiding the real social problems this way. Just my opinion, I just feel like the psychiatrists have become the easy way out, the way to avoid what's right and make the person a robot that obeys the system. Then again I might be wrong. I have been studying up on psychology alongside political psychology and manipulation as a medical student but I haven't found anything yet that would convince me otherwise. By the way, low serotonin happens when your sad, so every time your sad it naturally decreases. When your stress hormone and other outside problems are overdone, your body malfunctions, that's when your serotonin level refuses to rise no matter what. Even if you have completely gotten over the problem and perfectly good life (rare cases), you still never feel satisfied. Those people are even more rarely suicidal. It's the ones that have ongoing problems that are more suicidal. The name of the disease of these 'good life' cases is 'Major Depression Disorder'. The word depression should not be confused with it since it describes an mental state, not an illness. I believe that real doctors should continuously check for their serotonin level for a while and then confirm for depression. Most psychiatrist do no testing and simply conclude your condition after seeing your behavior for an hour without knowing the full details and scope of your history. In my opinion psychiatrists are not bad, they are not doing their job to that point.

Mental Illness is a hot topic in research. Especially what makes me very curious is why in society we saw bad chaotic things like terrorism, or violent extremism, or sex assault/harassment, or mass shootings, or wars, or gang activities. Makes me wonder, are those bad things caused by mental illness? And if there was a cure for mental illness, could all those bad things in society disappear & forming a peaceful utopia???

Always get it whenever possible till you feel relieved. It will affect less in beginning. Then it will give better effects day by day. Out of the humans senses, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch which ones can be relied on or are more accurate than the others. Sight I guess is the most heavily relied on and they do say don't believe it unless you have seen it. Smell and taste not really used or relied on other than for eating, smell has some elaborations. Touch the most relied on by the blind. Then there is sound, hearing, a sense that really should be ignored as it is the easiest to misinterpret. The experiments with the lyrebirds, birds that mimic sounds they have heard in nature, car alarms, chainsaws and so on. It is impossible to associate sound to an individual, other than the sound of their voice, but even that can be adapted and changed. You cannot identify an individual by a particular sound, as it is so easy to mimic that sound, if there are five people in a room and each one of them whistles the same note, it is impossible to distinguish between them and identify each individual by the whistle. If you hear a noise, and you determine it is has come from a human, how can you distinguish which human. Some people rely so heavily on audible associations it's funny. Like training a dog with a clicker, the dog associates with the click not the person, give the clicker to another person and the response is likely to be the same.

Mental health means health. Which is a body disorder. There is no need to think about weirdness when visiting a doctor for health reason. Hearts absorb emotional stimuli and become heavy and heavier with anxiety, responsibility and life sustainance pressures. There are limitations to every person's abilities as there is possibility of human error. Best people do when they are being their best is be righteous.

My amygdala isn't working so well. I couldn't escape the embarrassment of crying in front of my class I go to a private school and there's 11 people people in my class,5 boys and 6 girls, and the boys tend to pick on me. I couldn't take it any longer, so I screamed at them to shut up in front of the teacher. And then I broke down into tears. The reason I did this is because life is been so stressful for me. A relative passed away, I have to take care of4 siblings, adding onto that I have to deal with boys teasing me and it's hard to deal with. I went to look up if I have mental issues. And I think I have mental issues I have a very high irritation temper, my eating goes up and down, I avoid a lot of people, I cry for no reason, I think of hurting myself, and, I'm too scared to tell my parents. They won't believe me though just think there's stress and mood swings, but I know it's more than that.
