The best place to stay in Mentone is with family. I'm 4th generation roots in Mentone. Family at Bankhead cemetery. My favorite place to visit.

Isaiah's Reviews I like a place called signal mountain in Tennessee too.. weekend before last we did that yard sale that went from Desoto up into Michigan. We got to Jamestown Tennessee. That was a great ride and some real pretty scenery. Back in Mentone we stopped at a church and bought a book and some coins.that church is right next to the bed and breakfast across the street from the antique store.

Not western... That is pure Appalachia, as we are the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains ! I love all the local crafts you can find in Mentone ! A mecca of folk painters, potters, weavers, rustic furniture makers and just all kinds of craftsmen. There is also a food movement happening there. No less than six small organic farms nearby... We homestead near Mentone...Our own little piece of heaven ! You could not drag me back to live in the city. LOL
