i read somewhere that someone did mentor roulette everyday non stop (sure they slept, though no clue if they worked), and it took them a year. its insane lol ill never get mine but im working towards it anyway!

Been playing FF14 since ARR, I don't remember when the roulette came out but I remember doing it one per day until I decided to take it seriously and spam during the content drought of ShB, and it took me to 6.1 EW to get it lol.

@@KawarrenD it came out during HW I think. I joking did roulettes until SB and then I was doing like 10 roulettes a day on the days I was bored. Shadowbringers I started really pushing to do 10-20 a day at the end of the expansion. Went into EW with 1400/2000... after I cleared the savage I was at 1600/2000 and then I got 2000/2000 the week after... I did 400 of them in one week.

@@GimmeTOKYO you do, but using my free fantasia to fix two small mistakes just feels like a waste Its why I really want a thing to be added where you get the full character creation options to change your character however you want, whenever you want and fantasia is solely for changing your race. Course, that'll probably never happen, seeing as that has the potential to make Square less money from fantasia (and they just can't have that, small indie company that they are), but it would be nice

You see, all those deaths are why you do mentor roulettes as smn. You don't get dungeons every time since you're not tank or healer, and you have raise at any level to make up for all the extra deaths

as a mentor heading for her mount as well, here is a tip i learned! go as a dps! you may still get extreme content, BUT you get those far less than healers/tanks do! (still can get a really bad streak of them even as dps!) i mostly just get guildhests, its so nice lol still a long way to go though!

Did it as a Tank, I wouldn't do it any other way just because of the wait times. I've got Astrophe and for the most party you're getting a lot of guildhests and extremes.

@@Cardwolf1 Most of my dps queues are near-instant for mentor roulettes. Melee have quickest queues, physrange aren't too bad, but magic tends to take longer.

So far I find mentor roulette to be quite enjoyable. I already liked teaching sprouts stuff before i got the burger king crown and now I just land everywhere I'm needed automatically. I also just quite enjoy the chaos that comes from people doing the fights blind. I mean Savage with a nice static is cool and all but everyone is already pretty good at the game that I'm starting to miss those occasional people running away with their stack markers, tanks running in the wrong direction of a new dungeon they dont know and adorable sprouts who follow me everywhere even when we get spread markers on us :P I'm not even doing it for the mount. It's just a fun past-time for me and trains my reaction speed as a healer xD

Haha im kinda in the same place as you, but i still havent even completed the ARR extremes synched, so how would i be of any help to anyone, that would be doing them for the 1st time :D (There is this one fellow in our FC, that said that he has done all extremes from ARR to HW through dutyfinder, so it must have been a wild ride for mentors)

@@soldierorsomething Same I've done all ARR ex synced but there's no way I'd want to do it with bunch of sprouts. I think people who are genuinely enjoy to be a mentor are those who enjoys at teaching/helping others learn from beginning or maybe just obessesed on getting the mount. Either way, couldn't be me.

@@soldierorsomething I did all ARR all the time as a sprout. They are super easy to do over DF. The problem was that sprouts had to explain mentors how to do them, if the mentor hasn't already left. Most mentors do unsynced and think they are ready for mentor roulette, then let their own frustration on the people that queue for it. That's why I stopped using duty finder as a sprout. Because the harder the content became, the more pissed off they became at us for queueing it. Now that I am a mentor, fuck all those unsynced Andys trying to get a worthless mount without understanding the reason why it's supposed to be a rare mount. I just wanted to get extremes without mentors crying in my ears how I am not supposed to use the duty finder for it.

@@Blubbii88 I could not agree more and kneel in your direction as a show of respect, i have done several "SAVAGES" unsynched and getting achievements & titles/mounts from them makes me feel dirty, since they were originally designed as an experience for the players that you would remember, but if you just nuke the boss and be done with it, you probably wont even remember the boss's name after a week or even care about the title/mount

You should not have mentor roulette unlocked in the first place. There is trial and leveling roulette as much as you want. Mentors constantly leaving and letting people wait for another 30 minutes are the reason I stopped enjoying it.

Everyone who does the mentor roulette for the mount already does it for the wrong reason and doesn't deservt it in the first place. Especially if you unsynced all content and think you get unlucky if you actually get content you had the proof of clear of. Mentors should only be queued into hard content. No one needs a mentor for sastasha and you deserve the mount even less if 2000 sastasha is the reason you have it.
