Actually, Edward Kenway's first jump happened when he and the rogue assassin washed up in that island at the beginning of the game after their ships sank. If I am not mistaken, Edward took two leaps of faith while on the island. Once when he was chasing the assassin, and the next when he was trying to rescue Bonnet at the end of that stage.

It's hard to say about Kassandra, because there are quite a few missions where a Leap of Faith is mandatory. If i had to limit it to the tutorial area ( Kephalonia ), there's a side mission ( one of the very first ) where she has to find a Spear that's lost in a underwater cave, and you have the option to do a Leap of Faith to access such cave.

Yes but this video is based on scenes where the game forces you to do a leap of fate. All synchonizations that are outside of missions are your own choice. Meaning the game isn't forcing you to do it. And with the amount of quest in AC Odyssey that have things to do with the leap of faith, it wall depends on what quest you choose to do first

For Kassandra/Alexios, the first faith leap in the game is after you synchronize with Zeus statue on Kephalonia. There are very few of them in the game, only at synchronization points, key game events or if you dive in the water.

Heading to the statue of Zeus on kaphalonia is optional, if the game is played as intended in adventure /discovery mode and not in guided mode then it is helpful to do the Zeus statue to find wher one is headed but it is also possible to avoid it and just stumble upon Marcus vineyard using Ikaros or blind luck
