Meopta has hit the metaphorical nail on the head so hard. That its left me floored with how good I think their Optika6 3-18x50 is. The MRAD 1 reticle developed by Dark Lord of Optics is the perfect. Its perfect for my practical shooting, and can Easily be used for precision shooting as well. It is as simple as this. If functions flawlessly, and looks just as good.

So I purchased one of these in MRAD FFP based off this review .. this is an amazing scope! Edge to edge Schott Euro glass, construction in Czec and in the USA (FL from what I've read). Locking turrets, easy tool-less zero reset, parallax down to 10 yards, 50mm obj. Sold my PST II 3-15 and XTR II 3-15 in favor of this scope. hands down, it just out performs and out features its competition in this price class. Great review!

CDOES, you're a real one for this. I was looking through your older videos for a midrange optic, and I saw the showdown between this and a PST II. I just received one I got on sale and I'm blown away. For the features and glass clarity, it's really hard to believe that I found this for less than $700. Hell, even at $700, it seems like a steal. This might be the P4xi all over again.

Looking for a hunting scope right now, thanks for the review. I believe that when comparing this to the PST II, if they are very close in performance then the Vortex warranty will make my decision. dammit man i love your videos but my wallet hears boss music every time i get a notification of one of your reviews. another quality review on a very good optic. the current MSRP on this thing makes it very enticing. I might try one on a 224 valkyrie build to put it to the test for medium (500-700 yard) range duty.The turrets might not have some premium features like other scopes but im not too worried about the turrets as im a set it and forget it kinda guy. I just hold over for elevation and wind. the valkyrie stays relatively flat to about 600. ive rarely needed to hold over more than 4 mils.

Thanks for your great review. Based on what you showed, I was ready to buy two Optika 6 scopes, but I decided against. I really liked the optical quality and the "made in Europe" distinction, but there were several deal killers. My use case is long range target shooting and I am looking at FFP models. 1. The lack of turn counting on the elevation turret 2. The fact that MOA models seem not to have reticles intended for target shooting...they seem to have BDC and duplex type arrangements. Mil dots are available only in the 5-30 x 56 SFP, and and there seems to be no MOA equivalent to the MRAD reticles on the 3-18 x50 and 56 models.. 3. I'm also confused by the fact that some units have covered azimuth turrets, and the data sheet seems not to mention this. I realized only when looking at the pages of internet sellers. What a shame...these came so close to being exactly what I wanted.

Hi C_DOES and thanks for your reviews. I need your expert opinion please. I watched your videos and I am settling around the Meoptas for close range airgun varminting and small game out to 350 yards. It was suggested to me to go for an Element Nexus for optics, weight and 10m parallax but I do not want to spend that much. Meopta MeoPro Optika6 3-18x50 FFP is sufficient - wish I could have a bit more magnification. Meopta MeoPro Optika6 3-18x56 FFP 50g heavier - wish I could have a bit more magnification. Meopta MeoPro Optika6 4.5-27x50 FFP seems to be perfect - but min parallax 22.8 m. Meopta MeoPro Optika6 5-30x56 FFP 200g heavier & min parallax 22.8 m (the only one in the series with ED glass?) Q1. Do you think min parallax 22.8 m will be a problem for close range varminting? Q2. Do you have a better scope suggestion for my requirements? Thanks and keep those vids coming !

The Element brand of scopes aren't in the top of their class certainly not for their prices they charge. It was more down to earth and realistic when the Nexus 5-20x were on sale selling for $1000. Still passed on it when it was $1000 it can be bought for $1100 if you know who to buy from. The Titan is worse, horrible scope for $799 not even worth $650 on sale or even $500.
@commonsense5709
@commonsense5709 Жыл бұрын
You probably want a SFP for your varmint hunting airgun needs. FFP reticles simply won't allow for reasonable lower magnification hunting in real world close range airgun hunting situations even with this Dark Lord Mrad 1 reticle though it helps a little but with other brand FFP scopes you won't be able to reasonably see their reticles unless you zoom to 10x. 350 yards is ridiculously far for an airgun where they normally shoot from 10 to 50 yards and maybe 100 yards is already pushing it and definitely not humane hunting with an airgun. Something in a 4-24x with a SFP reticle and 10 - 15 yard minimum focus would be ideal for airgun hunting preferably with a zero stop if you are clicking. The Trijicon Tenmile 4-24x50 SFP illuminated green reticle with zero stop is made in Japan and on sale right now for $780 at Scopelist and Euro Optic. It's an $1800 scope. Everyone else sells it for around $1200-$1300. You simply will not find a better scope than this one made in Japan at this price. It comes with a lifetime warranty and really expensive scope covers too. It is bright and clear all the way to it's maximum 24x setting and it's SFP reticle won't disappear at it's lowest 4x magnification.

Your optics reviews are the absolute best... and I've seen hundreds by many. The Optika 6 vs PST review was so well done! A comparison video really brings out the strengths and weaknesses of each scope that cannot be appreciated when looking at only one optic. You actually give the viewer a very good sense of how the optics and reticles look. Others just talk. I'd really like to see you do a review of the Meopta Optika 6 with a DichroTech reticle. I'd like that review to focus heavily on the DichroTech reticle itself and how it performs in various light conditions and backgrounds at various magnifications. E.G.: (1) Does it really replace the need for battery powered illumination in low light? If so, that is a game changer!). (2) Is the red or green reticle fine enough for precise accuracy? (3) Is it better as FFP or SFP? I've read that SFP generally gives a brighter image?? Is FFP on lowest mag usable with the small reticle?? Perhaps it would serve as a red dot even if any subtents are unusable at low mag?? (Don't need subtents at close range, anyway.) ** Perhaps do a comparison between the MRAD 1 vs DichroTech??? I'm strongly considering buying a Meopta Optika 6, probably 3-18 X 50 or 2.5-15 X 44 (maybe that one a MeoStar?). Very undecided about the reticle. I plan to mount it to a Savage 110 in 6mm creedmoor... so long range capable for sure. I will hunt whitetail in dense and often cloudy (shady) Mississippi woods and need the ability to easily acquire targets at close range (so low magnification with great light transmission, possibly SFP). Then again, if I hunt pronghorn in South Dakota, I need that long range capability in rocky open country (bright). I see that Optika 6 can come with a .223, .308, or 6.5mm CM reticle. I wish they had a 6mm CM reticle.

The Optika6 line are made in Czech Republic. They also cut and coat their lenses in house. I put a 3-18x50 FFP MRAD RD on my Ruger Precision Rimfire in .22LR. No issues shooting out to 500 yards scope wise.

@@CDOES You should have mentioned that in the video. Just in a few words, if the vid was getting long. I was wandering the same thing actually.
