For me, the vocals IMMEDIATELY grabbed my attention and I actually like the "empty" instrumental quite a bit on the chorus. It's definitely not a song/vibe for everyone, but for the ones it is for... it HITS.👏🏼

When people starts comparing, they have expectations, they are bias. In reality, without comparison did the beat, vocals, visuals, and choreography made your head bop, made you smile, or said I like that part x amount of times through the song. Without over analyzing, that is the true reaction.

True, It did accomplish that if that's your bare minimum. But what speaks more to me is that I haven't gotten back to listen to the song once

I don’t implement standards, it’s either I like it or don’t like it regardless of the artist and I have listened to songs before that did not stick right away but later became a hit. I completely understand not everyone is a like, I suppose I’m just more open minded.

That happens to me plenty of times. Like aespa's "Supernova." I highly doubt this will be one of those, but I'm happy to be proven wrong by it

They are very clearly talented. The vocal tones especially was very impressive. The production just sounds so simple, though. Like it doesn't seem to try and impress. It just sounds like a generic backing track. Anyway i'm looking forward to more stuff from them because the group itself seems good.

Appetizer category for me, a good one, but appetizer nonetheless. I hope they will release something more substantial. I like the low tones (quite rare in the Kpop industry) and I'm eager to see them on stage. And from a marketing standpoint, "Different" is a money risk. I hope they will take those risks, but they are playing it safe. Still, I have hope...

this feels like baemons batter up an okay release but u can see the talent they have and it seems like a intro rather than a actual song i expect them to not have instrumentals like this always with their voices i expect it to get more creative especially with all the new talent producer wise joining the black label i expect them to be big but even though i liked it more after first listen it could have been better this was teddys first song since bpink besides the mnet show where he actually released different sounding music then what we expect from teddy that mnet show had some of tbl best music btw but i expect more from them hopefully we get some off stasge content soon i only know ella from when she was a kid hanging out with bpink and appearing in livestreams with them before joining tbl as a model besides her i dont know anyone besides the fact they might be the tallest kpop gg ever thats all i know

ugh im so conflicted because you can tell they're so talented and I hear some vocal tones I'm obsessed with but the chorus doesn't hit for me.

My thoughts on this release: For me it sounds like they tried something "different" (not quite the "YG Formula"). Sadly it wasn't for me. Maybe it will grow on me? The overall concept reminds me a tiny little bit on how Blackpink's "Whistle" back in the day was considered to be "to empty" or "to minimalistic" for a debut track and almost didn't make it to release. We all know how that turned out in the end. But "Whistle" (which I loved) also had "Boombayah" to counterbalance it. Babymonster had their vocal heavy and emotional predebut MV "Dream" and "Stuck In The Middle" shortly after debut. Meovv has only that one song (so far), not even a B-side track. Meovv also had no real pre debut marketing to introduce us to the members, their personalities and prepare us for the debut. Because of this I'm not sure, the metrics for this debut are as strong as they should've been. But of course its àlso only their debut and they already started to release more BTS for the MV and multiple "performance videos / live stages". Going from the MV: Their biggest strengths so far to me seem to be performance (dance break, facial expressions) and their (supermodel) visuals. Their biggest unknowns to me are their vocal and rap capabilities (since this song didn't give them much to highlight those). Their biggest weaknesses for me are their lack of relatability and individuality (because of the lack of pre debut content), which is nothing they can't fix. At the moment they still feel more like "models" than "music artists" (with the exception of Ella because of her past with Blackpink) but I hope that will change very soon (seeing the new content they're releasing right now). Of course I root for all members and I'm also happy for everybody who loves this release!

This feels to me like a SHEESH 2.0, honestly. Based on this, the girls look like they're talented, but I think both daddy YG and daddy Teddy😅 lost heir charm. Honestly, I'm not even surprised if we think about what Somi said about TBL. They need ONE YEAR to write ONE SONG! 10 years ago, this song would be dope. Nowadays, it's just one out of many, just like Sheesh was. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit nervous about Rose's career at TBL.

This is an interesting opinion for me, because when it comes to YG and TBL I am not biased at all, moreover BP, BM and Somi music is not for me at all, but this particular song for some reason I liked from the first listen

but tbl just released a whole slew of songs on mnet what u saying dont make sense snd sheesh is what blew baemon up so im confused and i trust rose decision cuz she knows them we dont so if she wanted to work there and the other 3 wanted to renew with yg i dont understand the backlash are u fans or not like it or not theyre nothing without the company giving them a platform to begin with lisa is doing fine as a soloist now even though i dont care for her music since its just american trash and i only like kpop but shes successful cuz of her cult of dedicated fans its not like she left yg and started writing her own music producing or releasing quality music its still manufactured music just in america instead of korea and somi loves tbl even though she criticizes theiur lack of content but thats why they are signing so many new producers recently because they know they need more music and more diverse music for izna somi rose and meow theyre separating freom yg and trying to be independent u gotta remember tbl is a small company and now that theyre separating from yg they have to expand in order to produce for this many artist both yg and tbl have producer shortages thats why theyre holding so many songwriting camps and looking for new producers lately in b oth companies u cant hold them to the same standards as a huge company like sm or hybe even jyp due to the scandals they have lost a lot of talent since 2018 in house and starting in 2023 they finally begun their rebuild i know people arent as connected as i am to whats going on but those scandals really affected them and i dont see them getting back to being a top company again till 2025 with 2ne1 touring hopefully new music bpink comeback and world tour baemon album and both baemon treasure touring on world tours next year is gonna be a turnaround and with both izna and meow in a 7 year and who knows but assume standard contract with tbl for meow they have the oppurtunity to turn around the talk that theyre one dimentional cuz every group is vastly different baemon has a youthful vibe very vocal focused and meow seems to have very good vocalist and rappers but are more mature then baemon izna is more bright and upbeat and will sound nothing like yg or tbl cuz the members arent anywhere near that or the same skillset either very different and treasure is obviously self producing and have their own sound while still very yg but diff sound every comeback and rose is obv different plus somi releases more brighter music so they can do it right and come out successful they just need to have better management and release more off stage content to promote them meow could easily target south america with mwmber being fluent in spoanish like gawon plus they speak english and ssome japanese and chinese so take advantage of those markets with baemon in china with ahyeons fluent mandarin and gawons fluent spanish

@@KpopPrince even tho I don't like Lisa's songs, I agree, her decision was better, but who knows, because it's not easy to run your own company and make it profitable. Even if you're a massive star like Lisa. I think Rose is more like a real musician who want to have control over what she does and release the best possible album, while Lisa and Jisoo feels more like they want to follow the trends, that's why Lisa releasing Singles "every" month this year. In short-term, it's a good idea. In the long-term, I'm not sure.

@@chady1229 What? TBL released "a whole slew of songs on mnet"? What are you talking about? Do you even follow their artists? Are you talking about the I-Land show? That doesn't count, because TBL was just a producer of the show, he didn't write a single song, they only covered already existing songs.😂 Rose obviously chose Teddy, because she knows him, but look at what he did with BP. Comeback in every 2 year. Anyway, we're gonna see eventually what's gonna happen, but the fact is, no artist at TBL did good or have many songs. Somi signed with him in 2018 and only released 18 songs in 6 years. TBL isn't that small, and smaller companies releasing more and much better songs, btw, and they have more artists as well.

The biggest problem I think this song has is that it is just fine. It is not bad but nothing special. So it is disappointing for a seemingly very talented group to debut with a bit of a nothing song. Even though I hated the song NMIXX O.O definitely got people talking. I don't think this is really gonna get people talking.

Thank you!!!! So many reactors are band wagon jumpers, and I have only found 3 so far who are honest and said, "there is something lacking" Its great to hear honest criticism from a reactor. There was so much hype building up for MEOVV's debut song and I just felt that this is a 6/10. Which isnt bad, it just was aiming to hit the Bulls eye but it did hit a Triple ring! So its a good song, but It doesnt hit the mark yet. I think the follow up songs will be alot better.

Let me guess, if the reactor agrees with your opinion than he is "honest", otherwise he is "lying / fake / a band wagon jumper" ? Maybe those reactors really liked the song and didn't think that there is anything "lacking"? Seeing the overall "mixed" reactions on this song the "band wagon" would be more on the negative side anyway. Personally I agree with your "6/10" rating and KpopPrince's commentary on this song btw. This release was not for me, but that's ok. I'm very happy for everybody who loves it. Its just different opinions and tastes. We also just started with Meovv. Looking forward to their next release.

Song aside. I don’t think this really established their visual identity. It looks like they spent a lot of money on the different sets and outfits, but none of it really told me how they’re unique compared to other YG groups let alone other girl groups overall 🤔
