The sad truth is before fans became okay with the barely creative recycled music BP was releasing every few years they had great music. BP got the love and fans because of a debut that suited them and will go down in history. Their follow-up was also quite good. That's what's lacking with Meovv and Baemon, collectively these two groups are properly more talented than BP but debuting with less than mediocre music is working against them. What's got people's attention is how obvious their passion, skills, and talents are. I hope their labels get their acts together. Someone did a Brazilian remix of Meow and it was easily 100x better than what the black label released. Oh and for Meovv's sake, I hope their comebacks are not sporadic....especially after this lackluster debut. It would be wise for them to have a comeback right away.

There’s a missing spark, and it doesn’t fully hit with the kind of gusto that makes a song truly memorable. Compared to the other TWICE solos, I don’t think it quite captures Tzuyu’s identity. 1: Turns Teddy didn’t produce or compose the song but he wrote some of the lyrics. That’s what makes it worse icl as the ceo he observed from the back and was like ‘yep that’s a fabulous debut that can be compared to my other bops like Fire, AIIYL,PWF, Come back home etc. I was so disappointed but the song is a grower it gets enjoyable over time which is NOT what we want from a debut which was hyped for several MONTHS. Run away was mediocore at best. I HATE saying this but I would’ve preferred heartbreak in heaven as a title track. All though Run away is a better genre for her, heartbreak in heaven just stands out more, and I think it also shows off her talents more. Her mv was kinda meh as well. I wish they used the flower scenes at the end more cause those were so pretty. I think it’s kinda clear this solo debut didn’t have as much effort into it as Nayeon’s and Jihyo’s, since it was put in the same yr as ABCD (which I feel like if they wanted to put more attention to Tzuyu’s, they would’ve debuted her without Nayeons CB in the same yr, since Nayeon and Jihyo’s solo were the only solos in their year) and she also only has 6 songs on her mini album, meanwhile the others have 7. The promotion for her debut felt weird too, like idk the timings they put out her stuff wasn’t the same. Like usually they announce the debut/cb before releasing the opening trailer, but they announced Tzuyu’s WITH the opening trailer

I feel like both Meovv and Tzuyu fell into the “we’re beautiful so we’ll be successful” trap. Visuals can’t save you when you have bad music (Meovv) or poor stage presence (Tzuyu). They weren’t horrible, but they were extremely forgettable. Thank goodness for Baekhyun and his continued excellence. So much Friday music and so much disappointment otherwise.

I have to say that I like the B-sides in Tzuyu’s album more than the title, which wasn’t bad but could’ve used a beat switch or something extra. Honestly, as a Once I didn’t think that Tzuyu would have a solo. I thought that she would stick to modeling, but the fact that’s she’s doing this means that she feels passionate about this. Compared to back then she has improved in many ways. I hope that’s she further explores herself and who she wants to be musically.

The are decent dancers(except Ella tbh she should've got more training ,others are atleast trying) ,they had absolutely no expressions,the way they were hyped was so stupid because the girls were just their to be pretty and I've seen so many people people write atleadt they're pretty so they'd stan em(embarrassing) also Ella should've stuck to modelling or acting(she's really pretty but she's not an idol package at all) ,she got hyped up for her connections with BP and that's it.... The song itself isn't that bad, the problem was from the beginning, all the hype that was aroud this new group, it raised all the expectations. Also the girls have very distinctive and powerful voices, so it's not their fault if they had this kind of a "forgettable" song. Tzuyu was done dirty. She has improved significantly but none oh her had work was was shown. As a lead dancer they should have given her a better or more interesting choreo. What was most disappointing was the fact that they didn't work in her stage presence AT ALL. She looked tired and bored performing her own debut song. 😢 She and Shuhua need to be put in some acting classes.

I’ll be honest: what WAS TEDDY THINKING!? I refuse to believe that was a song made by him! Heck- even ACCEPTED by him the last minute. The song sounds like it was made for Lisa or even for BP but got rejected the very last moment. The beat is KINDA similar to BP’s HYLT. The lyrics make NO SENSE. The song is SO short. This is one of the worst debut songs in 5th generation, in my opinion. I’m glad it’s a pre-release.

Personally I was very impressed with MEOVV debut and despite being a bigger BM supporter the reason I like MEOVV debut is cause it’s something I’ve never seen in kpop before, the dance break sound is very nice, the choreography is amazing, the yuhx20 is repetitive and I love repetitive stuff imo. Btw TBL is 100% on its own and yg nearly has just stocks in TBL, except for ella and Anna I think all are adults, Gawon is the center and idk abt you but I’ve never seen anything like this before. Yes, I'm a once and i completely agree about Tzuyu. I love her and she is amazing as a member of TWICE, but I don't think she was ready for a solo debut. The reason why Nayeon and Jihyo can carry solo albums on their own is bcs they're really good vocalists and they have that spark that keeps the viewer intrested in the performance. But with Tzuyu, it feels stiff without other members completing her lacking parts. her visuals are there but you can clearly hear she's not a stable singer by herself, and her stage presence is not on top. It works in TWICE because there she is only at center for like 15 secs every song. but now she has to do a whole song by herself. Her flaws are clearly visible. My theory is that JYP made a really low budget solo for Tzuyu just so they didnt have to put a lot of money on an artist that they knew couldn't carry a solo as well as nayeon and jihyo. But they did it anyways because fans have been begging for so long. And even if they did put in a lot of effort and money, tzuyu would have flaws in her performance anyways. WILL STILL SUPPORT HER THO OF COURSE

1. I have no hope for YG or TBL. I don't think Meovv's song was absolute garbage but it was boring, lazy, and uninteresting. Same as usual from this company. 2. The song was okay, but baby girl cannot act. She had the same facial expression throughout the entire mv.. This truly was not the best concept for her. 3. I LOVED Neva Play. I personally think Megan is very versatile, but because she has a kind of monotone way of rapping is why I feel like people think she's not but regardless she is an amazing rapper and I just knew Meg and RM would slide on a track together. It's on repeat over here. 4. YES. This song was LUSCIOUS. The Weeknd is one of my favorite artists so I also felt the similarities. I was really feeling this song and the mv was cool. Immediately added to my playlist. 5. For Xikers, I didn't know how to express how I felt about it but you did it for me perfectly lol. Just like Ateez, I think Xikers have that ability to pull off a risky move. I liked the song but it fell flat in that aspect. I thought KQ could've done a better job with this concept especially with the TT being called Witch.
