Both also went up in higher weight classes and won the belt. While Henry was 37 at the time he fought Merab, he was relatively young for the sport unlike above-mentioned fighters. As for the height disadvantage of Henry, you are also wrong with that. It's even harder for the taller fighter to secure a takedown against the shorter, especially a thick and strong one since the former would have to exert more effort to duck under and reach the leg. There's a reason Makhachev struggled a little bit taking down Volkanovski more than usual against taller and bigger lightweights. Alex is much shorter.
