Fabulous update… stonework is moving along nicely.. I’ve undertaken many full restorations & 2nd & 3rd fix takes time .. hopefully your all moved in for the early summer 👍.. Will Daniel retire to enjoy the Portuguese lifestyle soon ? . It’s certainly going to look great once completed.. just like a Manor House in Portugal 🇵🇹 that we see frequently on our travels.

It is starting to look like a home now! It is absolutely beautiful! Once they get the windows and doors in it won't be long to the finishing line! You know Merriad and Dan, I suspect even the workers are glad they're in the homestretch of this project. It's more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I still get confused which rooms are which but that's likely just me. I think it's fabulous that you built up the gardens prior to the build and no doubt 2025 will involve much cleaning up and tweaking but oh, what a home to relax in afterwards. You will look back often at this accomplishment and think 'did we really do this', so will everyone involved. I will hazard a guess that you'll get in on Valentine's Day ❤. A home of this sort in many other places would be the stuff of millionaires. Wow, is right. Wow. What does Dan do for work that he can pick up and comeback.....let me guess, a cook on a ship???? ♥️🇨🇦

In the USA, Georgia they grow loads of Peanuts. The soil has a lot of sand in it. Rich but looser due to sand. Maybe try that next year. The shoots may not be strong enough to push through soil. Just an idea. Texas is home to peanuts to with same type of soil. Everything is amazing! So happy for you both!!

The house will be simply stunning by the time you move in, I'm curious as to what kind of work Dave does. My husband used to work overseas quite a bit years ago, in power generation but is retired now. He managed to badly break his leg 3 weeks ago so now I'm doing the work of 2 but it's ok as I'm grateful he wasn't injured more seriously.
