Oh my goodness! Wild Kratt’s! My kids 7 & 2 are obsessed with them. Public school uses a couple PBS cartoons to keep the kids busy on rainy days and Wild Kratts is one of them. Didn’t realize they had action figures ❤

I fully agree with you about Mercari's shipping. Buyers are so sensitive to shipping costs, and Mercari is ignoring that in my opinion. (Oh, and LOL at Robert's comment at 9:50 during the Life is Good Mug portion of the video. 😄 )

I just never really like Mercari for selling and I think I will stick with Poshmark for clothes and eBay for everything else. Appreciated the video it was very informative.

even though i do calculated shipping on eBay, on Mercari i only do free shipping on all my items (i use pirateship) - i just estimate the cost shipping for my items under a pound and increase the price by that estimate when i crosslist from eBay - anything over a pound, i add anywhere from $8-12 to the price of item (i figure it all sort of evens out in the end) - for really large or heavy items, i usually just don't list those on Mercari since the shipping can very way too much on location - i've had a lot of ppl message me saying how nice is was that i did free shipping so I don't think i would ever do Mercari shipping

Aww I have one of the butterfingers teddy bears listed. My mom got it through refunding (sent in UPCs from candy bar wrappers). That would have been 80’s/90’s I believe.

Wow I did not know about the $2 charge to get your own money on Mercari. That is terrible! I think I’m going to be done there. I don’t have high dollar sales there anyway. I can spend more of my time listing on eBay and cross listing to Posh and Etsy.

Looking for the vintage toys is probably my favorite. I love seeing my items on eBay but sometimes the processing (cleaning/listing/storing) can be a bit tedious. I'm loving that I am emptying and listing boxes of stuff I have had on shelves forever. This has been motivating and allowed a sense of accomplishment. Still a lot to go.

Starting April 15 Facebook's fees goes from 5% to 10%

How did you confirm that deactivating and later reactivating listings had given you the new no selling fees ? Did you sell something since doing that or does it say somewhere in the listing on Mercari? I put my store on vacation and then reactivated a few hours later but I’m not sure it made any difference not sure how I can find out. Happy Easter to both of you!

I edited a listing and it showed in the fees that I would get the whole amount if the item sold. No fees.

We ship most of our plush in poly bags or sometimes a padded bubble mailer. If it has a sound box, fragile features, etc., we mail it in a box. The stiff carnival style plush gets mailed in a box because it could get damaged if mailed in a bag. How often do you go to an atm that is not your bank and pay a fee? Everything is charging a fee. If you are needing $10.00 to pull out of Mercari that is a problem. $10 don't pay for anything. Not even fastfood. Just wait. I am waiting and seeing. Still listing.

We only use our bank's ATM so we can avoid the fees. They have branches in all of the towns near us which makes that easier. Mercari is notorious for holding seller's funds for unexplained reasons. I've had it happen to me. So, I've always pulled my money from them when it reaches the point where it was a free transfer, which has been $10. I don't NEED that $10, and Mercari certainly doesn't need that $10 that belongs to me simply because they randomly put my account on hold. They hold the money and earn interest on it while keeping it from the seller it belongs to.

I understand what Rebel is saying--when I first started selling on Mercari I was letting the money build up, and had over $2k in there, then they placed a hold until I proved thru their weird system that I was a human or something, had to submit copy of my dl and other sensitive informatiion, even think i had to send over my picture over their app to get them to release the funds, that caused me never to let any balance build up anywhere-really scarey--but to this day, still listing and selling plenty on Mercari
