Actually you’re wrong. The top number is the trip counter, 1485.1 number. This car has done 196,352km which is 122,000 miles. There’s no way that engine got that dirty in 1485km. It could have been a long distance driver car , such as a road salesman etc which would account for the cleanliness, smell and overall condition. The trip counter is approx 922 miles. That engine has seen waaaay more miles than 922 so you’re comparing it to the BMW unfairly. You’re not comparing like for like. I have a couple of Mercedes’ and my ML350 is a 2010 and 123,000 miles and my ac compressor failed and broke the belt. Don’t compare this car as a 922 mile car to the high mileage BMW because it’s not a fair comparison.

The oil seal is damage so it leaks oil on the AC compressor which eventually damages the compressor.

Sup man watching your video out in California. My denso just went out on my e550 I am not sure if it was just the clutch that failed and I can just change myself. Is there a way to see if compressor failed vs clutch failed.
@drcoolautofix2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, just watch the clutch area when you turn on the ac, if all is spin, then it's not clutch
@Dnasty12 жыл бұрын
@@drcoolautofix I can’t really see in there but the rubber area in the front of the clutch is all ripped and has burned plastic/rubber coming through. Does that mean the clutch was stuck when the ac engaged and it ripped it all out?
@drcoolautofix2 жыл бұрын
@@Dnasty1 if thats the case try raaching out when the engine temperature is low, turn the center clutch thats bolter to the shaft with your hands, if it turns then your compressor 80% could be good, if it didn't, then your compressor is gone

@@drcoolautofix Thanks bro that was it! I actually only had to change the part that burned up I’m not sure if that is the clutch. So I didn’t have to remove the snap ring or anything. It was very easy and quick and saved me around $1000. Do you have any idea why this happens? My compressor seems to be working fine again so this clutch part just seized or something?
