I wonder about compatibility between different valve bodies for the 722.9. I know they are named like VGS2 to VGS4. I would like to try a newer valvebody VGS4 with a older VGS2 TCU conductor assembly inside an older gearbox. Do you think it will work?

Took a while to find. Did not find any for the pan. I would say they are the same as the valve body. Added them to the description.

very good video. I have a question, I have been working with a 722.9 gearbox for more than 1 month, I changed all the clutch discs with an international pressure master kit, everything new, the orings and rings are also new. I have a leak in the K2, the K2 clutch engages but loses pressure. Perform the test with air using the test holes indicated in the manual. Has it happened to anyone?

Did you replace the molded pistons? Also check the front of the drum for cracks where the bearing rides.

@@CurmudgeonTransmission The pistons are new from the "precision international" brand. Use the press to assemble the B1. I tried with the old gasket and the new gasket, I also did the test with the 2 gaskets. Always the same, when I test the pressure with air in the K2, air leaks through the holes in the shaft that goes to the converter. I do not know what to do .

Did you air check the drum before assembling the transmission? If it was good, then the air is leaking past the sealing rings. Just the nature of those plastic rings. They do not air check well. If you still have the old rings you might try putting them back on.

Yes control that drum. I try with the old rings and they leak the same. I decided that I am going to mount it in the vehicle, I think that the leak has to be due to the density of the air, which is different from the oil. what do you think ?@@CurmudgeonTransmission

Notuncommon forplastic rings to not air check well. Not the only transmission it happens on.

On the K1 drum, when I pulled mine apart it had 5 sets of frictions and a steel + pressure plate on top. Any reason for this?

Should be a cushion plate on the bottom, dish down. Then alternate inside and outside teeth clutches (5 of each), starting with outside teeth. Ending with pressure plate on top. If it was different, then someone did not assemble it correctly.

my transmission leaks from the Transmission Intermediate Seals Pump Plate Gasket, its the one between the case and bell. will replacing it fix the issue or could it be something else causing the leak??

Never seen one leak from there. Make sure it is not leaking out the vent. It is at the top of the bellhousing in that area. May be leaking down around there making you think that plate is leaking. Some things to make it leak out the vent are: plugged or restricted cooler, overheating, over full of fluid. More common to leak out the front seal.

@@CurmudgeonTransmission i just checked it again and its leaking from the spot i said before, im guessing the previous owner did a transmission rebuild but didnt tighten the bolts like it supposed to. i see a small gab between the pump plate and the transmission case
