I grew up in the United States during the 1970's. A fast V8 rear wheel drive roadster was all we wanted. Merc ticked all the boxes. In 2023, is this car worth 3 times more than a 2012-2015 XKR convertible? That's my question.

The coupe is lighter, cheaper, and faster, a proper sports car that is faster than GTRs around tracks. Getting the roadster, you might as well get a C63s convertible which can have basically the same engine, exhaust note and power, but save 60 grand?

Honfy Lam you clearly don't know how great is to be in a place with no roof, with lots of sun and the sound the car makes behind you. There are some things that money can't buy, well...actually can, that's why is more expensive than the coupe :)

It may be a brilliant car but its one of the ugliest cars Mercedes has ever made. The front looks ghastly, with that massive ugly grill and huge badge. It feels like Merc are too full of themselves. The front and the rear don't look like they belong on the same car. I think the 911 Turbo S looks waaaaay better and its better value for money as well.
