If you don't have a family, you don't need a house. Houses trap you into debt with a mortgage, and turn you into a mindless consumer. You will be spending too much of your $$$$ on house stuff, like a lawn equipment and supplies, repairs, home insurance, property taxes, and too many other things. I miss being a renter, and I miss all the money I've blown on housing expenses. In my Midwestern city, there are a few apartment complexes set up like ranch-style condos, with two car garages, so I plan to move into one of those. Don't know if you can find something similar in California.

"This overpriced piece" is the roadster version of a "not so cheap" premium sports car, but not a stupid plastic bullshit vehicle! Of course it's an expensive vehicle, because it's a Mercedes-AMG Roadster, which is way more expensive than just the coupe version! For example, just compare it with some Aston Martin convertible versions, and you will see a dramatically higher price for these British cars, which have the price of "two houses", but not only one house. And the build quality of these Brits is not as good as the AMG... At least they have a German engine too...;-) What did you expect? A price like a Corvette C8 for a 100% AMG "piece" of German build quality and technology??? You can't have hese things for a stupidly low Corvette price... you annoying clown!!

Hey, how about that: for example the new Aston Martin Vantage Roadster costs much more than the AMG GT C Roadster, but isn't nearly as powerful, cool looking or solidly built as the AMG. The GT C Roadster is a way more competent and better built open sports car. You should compare this AMG with similar competitor sports cars, but not only look at its price. Why is this Aston Martin much more expensive than a much better sports car rival from AMG??? Which by the way has the "original" 4 liter V8 biturbo engine. If I can choose, I decide for the original, but not the "copy" from Aston Martin, which has just a customer engine from AMG.

I only drive Ferraris and Rolls Royce so it wont be for me, but one for my personal chef, one for my house keeper and one for my sons 16th birthday to drive to private school. I agree 100% with your thoughts about this car. It is an amazing car. I didn’t drive the 600 HP version you all drove. I drove the regular AMG GT and that was amazing as well. The way power comes on and stays on is unlike any other car. It’s too fast for American roads and the only way to get the most of that car is too use it on track. Which as the salesman told me when I drove it. Glad you all got to enjoy it for a little while and I hope that DCT issue isn’t common. See you for the next video and I hope your press car isn’t as beaten.

The GTC/GTR is the best sports car today, for the money. It’s leagues more engaging than a 992! The GTR was preferred by many vs the 991.2 GT3. The transmission is basically bullet proof - it’s a Getrag, used by Ferrari.

What's crazy to me, as someone with no experience in either car, a C8 Corvette seems like it's worth more than this car at less than half the price. I just can't see buying this at the mentioned price tag for essentially the engine and transmission. I know the suspension is amazing too, but for the money it has to be. Obviously I'm not the target audience, but Porsche does seem like the better option if you are going to spend that much. Awesome review as always though!

That $1500 carbon panel under the hood doesn't actually cover the engine, that's all under that heat shield with the turbos. It's basically halfway into the cabin like in a Chevy Astro van, which is why it'll keep your coffee warm in the cupholder.

That satin paint looks nice, and accentuates the curves of the car, but let me warn you off; That stuff is nearly impossible to take care of. You will need special wash chemicals. You cannot wax it. There is at least one ceramic coating I know of for it. Don't dream of running it through a regular car wash. Got a scratch? You cannot buff it out. That paint is for garage queens. Save your money. I have satin paint on my bike, and it looks good, but doing a quick waterless wash on a motorcycle is pretty painless, and none of the panels are big enough to show any small variations in luster. That hood is huge. Any imperfection will scream at you. Rant over. Sharp car, but ridiculously expensive.

The analogy I use (coming from pc gaming) is rear wheel steer feels like adding mouse acceleration. The average person can convince themself its helping them but anyone with actual practice and muscle memory wants accuracy. Unless you have spent thousands of hours purely on a rear wheel steer platform it's just going to throw off all of the instincts and muscle memory you've built up til now.

The cost is not a big deal. This is far better in looks and sound than the new 911 Carrera 4S convertible. I’d gladly pay the extra 20-25k it would cost to have this Mercedes instead of the Porsche.

Most modern Superbikes have a long 1st gear and much shorter 2nd-6th for circuits. Reason being, too get up to high speeds and then remain in close gearing for the rest of the time that you are actually moving. I'd imagine that's what AMG is going for with the alternate gearing in other trims.
