Mercedes AMG GT Downpipe Install

Installing new downpipes on a 2020 Mercedes AMG GT-C to delete the factory cats (I believe this would be the same for GTR)

How did you get the bracket off from the back of the down pipe. Please explain more

They were tricky but you basically need to get a ratchet or wrench in behind get the back bolts out, once all the bolts are out you can pull the downpipes

You put no protection on fenders and cut stock cats so they can’t be reused. Pass

You just have flanges welded onto the stock downpipes. It makes them 2 piece. I did it to my stocks in case ever need to put them back.

Sorry I'm not too sure about that. It removes the cat's so will definitely be tougher to pass but might still

It won’t pass smog and you’ll have a lot more exhaust smell from the car. You just need a “friendly” smog shop to get by. You can find them online. But it makes a great car even greater!
