This car came to me with an intermittent fault...
Although I never managed to experience the fault, the owner testimony and the fault that came up on the gearbox, made me to make a call and remove the culprit faulty part...

Hi interesting video I had a mercedes b class with same gearbox I sent away that module but they said I was OK in the end I scraped it old 55 plate but only had 80.0000 gearboxses are not fit for purpose in my opinion with modern cars sepose to be progress but its progress going backwards I this video will be of interest to anyone that has gearbox problems with these mercedes models. Some of your customers are not well. Getting your car fixed without gas in the tank is sick. I call it a symptom of suspicion that the repairman is a thief and will steal fuel from the client's tank.

can i ask you a car question about volvo? does s60 mk2 or v60 2011 need volvo vida genuine software to program a car stereo same model from other volvo car or is it plug and play? regards

I never had to replace one... So can't really advise... I would guess they are coded to the VIN of the car, and will require vin changing... But it it only a guess... Sorry...

Volvo vida until 2014 is free. Work with any good Passthru adapter. So try youself.

Frog wires, like it. Jumper wires. Can't imagine for a second the repair companies will be touching the interface connections on the MCU etc. They just reconnect the jumpers on the main PCB. Silver based solder. Still, it is a fiddly job. Trouble is, customers think it's all easy and they're getting ripped off all the time. Blaming everyone else if something goes wrong instead of the real cause - buying crap cars. Not like there isn't the info out there on what goes wrong with em nowadays.

And I would... Just could not afford something to go wrong and me to be responsible for it and have to support the costs of doing it again... Remove the unit is not easy nor a 5 minutes job when done like this on the floor... This way, if it came back, was not my responsibility... I had to do something that you on that side didn't... I had to assess the situation, the type of customer etc... But yes, I could have done it... I did this type of work in the past, and I have videos coming doing similar stuff...
