I wonder if can help me I’ve installed this screen in my car but I’m having trouble having visual and audio at the same time when connected via Bluetooth, When Bluetooth isn’t connected my music will play thorough the system and if I have maps on my phone I can hear the person directing me through the system but I can’t see my music or maps on screen as Bluetooth isn’t connected. When I connect my phone via Bluetooth the music and maps is visible on screen but the sound won’t play out the system. It seems like I cant have sound and visual on the screen at the same time! Could they have been connected to the wrong things ? How can I rectify this? Thank you

Hey Nathan, i got the unit off you and have recently installed this in a 2014 CLA200 which has the same config as the A class in this video. I did everything you told me to do (even moving the fiber optic cable from the old quad lock to the new one) and I'm only seem to be getting audio through NTG mode. When i go back to Android i don't hear any audio at all. Do you know what can be the cause of this?

best video I found about mounting this! very nice work mate! I am going to try this tomorrow. Only thing I am not sure if you avoided connecting the video input on the left because you don't have a OEM retro camera, or because it just work out of the box with the other wires. Also I'd be curious to know why the speaker is not needed, or why they added that in (it confuses me), I guess all cars will have speaker already?! Thanks if you can find the time to answer these :)

The speaker is normally for parking sensors as the stock speakers may not work with the unit probably always worth just plugging it in and mounting it anyway and for the reverse camera wire it may need connecting worth testing 1st without connecting then if it doesnt come on there will be a wire within the oem quadlock that is the reverse trigger wire and tap off that hope this helps (not my video)

Hey mate, I first tried without AMI and didn't work. Now with AMI my unit works for a little bit and then the command shuts off compeltly. I have no idea what else to try out. I am not sure where to connect the cable. I had an audio in and out on my harness and I just unplugged them and put the AMI in between to the middle console

It should be connected along with all your connections.. If your not seeing your rev cam then on.. Go into the settings(1314) / factory / display.. Try the diff op based on your command system

In a CLA, with dsp box, and without usb aux adapter, system, Ntg5 is it possible to place the 2 usb ports on the center console, without making a hole or having to drill? Or they have to stay in the glove compartment

Hi, to pair a mobile telephone with an E Class A207 do you run both bluetooth connections at the same time, the factory car bluetooth via the NTG4 and also the 10.25 inch bluetooth connection on the new screen, must wifi via hop spot link to the mobile phone also need to be set up, thanks

Hi I've just fitted mine everything all good apart from I can't get the head unit back in possession feels like something blocked it moving forward

The large black connector plug on the wiring loom stops the head unit sliding back easily. You need to wedge the plug down and back out the way of the head unit, it’s difficult to do because theres lots of cables and not much space. It does fit, but takes patience and time.

@@yousuffarhad4926 yes, the original back camera don’t need an extra cable. Only thing i did was change the setting somewhere in the settings to the original back camera. I dunno hoe that setting was named. Just try 1 for 1 till you have the right camera setting.

For anyone having issues with the carplay not connecting sometimes just go to the tablet SETTINGS -> Wifi and connections -> hotspot -> Make sure it's active and on 2.4 ghz. sometimes it's not working in 5 ghz and that's why it does not connect.

I found another video on KZbin about fixing that issue but I haven't got this car to try it. One of my friends has this problem at the moment. I have an NTG4.5 system. And according to several suppliers, I have to use the AMI cable. However I don't have an option to put it in somewhere; there is no socket in the glovebox. Is this AMI cable really necessary with ntg 4.5 ?

It is not, you need to know how to use engineering mode and turn it on :P that is why we rule lol. You can also find the music interface in the centre console in some models..

@@ELCEV you can do it hardwired but you need to enter engineering mode and turn AUX on. I know it says it’s available on the sources list but it’s not actually on that’s why you can’t hear anything.

@@TheFittingBay thanks for the advice, yes I have learned a lot about the engineering mode. I did turn it on and I'm very comfortable with the settings on the engineering mode. But unfortunately there's still no sound coming out of the aux. Maybe it's just my car. So right now I'm able to use Bluetooth from my phone when it's in the original screen mode. And if I want to listen to any sounds coming off of the new screen I have to dial it in on my FM radio, plug the sound output of the screen to the FM transmitter and hope I can hold a channel that doesn't get too much local interference. It's usable now but honestly it's probably a 50/50 whether the I would attempt to do it again on this vehicle. Thanks again for your replies though, very kind of you

It don't happen all the time, but it does happen and they have to call me back, or I call them then it's clear? I had the front camera put on my Benz and when I put it in drive and the camera was scrolling but there was a setting to fix it so Im wandering could this also be a setting for the phone calls?
