Thank you, great instructions. I have replaced the rear brake pads but can't reset the message. I know there isn't a sensor on the rear so how do I reset it?

@@mesarga Are you sure is not the Front brake pads because I know the back don’t have wear sensors on the A Class. C Class E Class S Class etc have.

@@mesarga It could just be the sensor not the actual pads they brake easily do that first as it is cheaper

Why take both bolts out just spin it down or up mate too fit pads

Cool, I didnt realise it was so easy. Is the piston pushable by hand, or pry bar? I've not got the tool 😜

yh pry it back with a flat screwdriver between the disc and pad before taking off the 2 bolts for the housing if that makes sense 👍🏽

After replacing the brakes, It currently says Conditions for exiting fitting not fulfilled confirm with ok

I have a 2015 w176, I don't think it has the disengage button on the dash ? Do they all have this

Front doesn’t have Electric Pads just normal way

Do you need to take the top off the brake master cylinder ? for winding the pistons back ??

You should but don’t have as sometimes air will get trapped and you have to bleed then you have to bleed the whole system 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hi do you not have to command the motor with a scan tool ,like you do on vag group vehicles to allow you piston to push back ?

No not with Mercedes Benz you do it from central control in the dash menu as I have shown in the video

Just done job today....couldn't get into the menu...finally realised you need the odometer on the dash before you can enter the menu...learn every day lol

Do you leave the ignition on once you’ve put it in the fitting mode? Wouldn’t that risk draining the battery?

no you can turn ignition off also mercedes have an separate auxiliary battery which means they don’t drain out like other cars hope this helps

It does drain the battery. Did mine today 4 hours on & off avoiding the rain out on the drive. Complete flat battery (8 months old). Not even enough juice to light the display between the dials. Charged it up & finished off as in video.

Can't you just remove one bolt(bottom one) and swing it open to replace the pads?? Squeeze the piston to make room, place the new pads, close it up...?

It's way I remember from my 190 and 124, that's all. 😁 Wasn't sure if they'd deliberately made it more time consuming, like they have with spark plugs and air filters 😬

It will work 100% I even done a 2019 Mercedes E Class the other day with the soft touch steering wheel buttons, Make sure you door is closed and you handbrake is disengaged hope this helps 👍🏽

Have to make sure your main home screen is on the odometer mileage screen first
