Mercedes-Benz C140 coupe (1996-1999) rear trim removal instructions

This is a video guide for the face-lift C140 series S Class coupe (1996-1999) detailing the process and considerations when removing the rear side interior trim panels. This process may be necessary for access to the window or seatbelt mechanisms on these grand coupes. Allow at least half an hour for this job if you're doing it for the first time.
Be patient, and don't force anything :)
This process applies to the face-lift models only (CL420, CL500 and CL600). The process differs for earlier series vehicles (1992-1995, and early 1996 models). Essentially, this video only applies to the C140s with side airbags in the doors.
We suggest you watch the whole video before commencing work to have an understanding of everything that's involved, reducing the chance of damaging any components.
