Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 Service Indicator Reset

Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 Service Indicator Reset video was something I found out how to do and wanted to show you guys. If you got a service indicator on your E Class, you can use this technique to get rid of it after you perform the service needed. It worked for my 2012 E350 and should work on most of the newer Mercedes-Benz.

Thank you. The guide I looked at said to select "Trip", but didn't say that you needed to be on the mileage for it to work. This got me cleared up and let me reset the message after I changed my oil.

I did as you say but the problem is it's stuck in a. Loop, when I cancel service A, service B pops up, when I cancel service B then service A pops up an it goes on and on like this, I did it kind of 10 times and it still goes on like this... Any idea?

I'm planning to purchase my 1st Benz E350. Never owned any German car. Coming from Civic, CRX, RX 7, Accord, Pathfinder and S2000:) And you know these imports are so easy to fix. Is an E Class w212 reliable? Are these Benz easy to maintain?

+MrFamily1Man haha I feel ya! Yes, the w212 3.5l is a solid motor. Usually, with german cars, its the electronics that fail before any mechanical issues occur. I would recommend you try to get a 2012 and up, lower miles, and garage kept. Just do regular engine oil changes, but sooner then what Mercedes recommends. Also, a fuel injection cleaning service wouldn't hurt once in a while either and you should be set. Goodluck! :)

save money on the sticker... you'll need it for the frequent $$$$ repairs later... or skip the German rope-in service entirely: buy yourself a cheap Toyota copy: Lexus😁

Just PLEASE do not kid yourself that an oil change is a full service. Go to the trouble of searching out all the other items. For example, I neglected sunroof lubrication and it cost me a boatload of trouble.

so first I click on (1) ASSYST PLUS then (2) Full service then (3) i skip service 1, 3, 8, 10 and 12 and click on (4) Conf. Full Serv. then I see 2 options one says Oil grade 229.3 and the other says 229.5 i tried clicking on Both (5) i get this Oil grade 229.3 Service carried out? I click Yes then (6) Cannot be undone i click CONFIRM then I GET FULL SERVICE COULD NOT BE COMPLETED

it sounds like you are trying to reset the service indicator too far ahead of schedule.. i believe for fluids you need to be within 5k miles to complete service
