Had the same happened on my Merc 220d (W205) but have no dipstick. Fortunately only 100 miles to next service and the high oil level warning has now gone off. It came on when I did a 170mile journey - so I think the fully warmed oil expanded enough just to push the level high on that day. My normal 35mile commute does not create that problem. Next time I will not fill the oil to the high level. Thanks for your video.

Over time, engine oil of Diesel engines increases, because during the DPF regeneration process, a lot of excess unburnt fuel gets mixed with the engine oil through the pcv system. This is also why when changing engine oil with diesel engines, you shouldn't top it up till the max level.

Exactly, mostly common for vehicles that run small distances. Vehicles that run long distances the heat would burn the excess fuel.

Please do a video on measuring the transmission fluid at 25 C and at 80 C on the Sprinter. I have a 2008 and I'm trying to get the exact added. I haven't seen a video yet that goes through the entire process using the long Mercedes dipstick. The questions I have are, is it measured while running and how do you know you have hit the stop on the dipstick. I'm just trying to figure it all out. It seems that all the videos just add an amount the book says to add, but they never show they added enough or too much.

It is NOT overfilled!!! It is oil dilution due to DPF Regeneration. A lot of diesel fuel makes its way past the pistonrings, hence resulting in rising oil level. The ONLY way is to disable DPF regen and remove DPF, as well as disabling exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).

You have diesel fuel in engine oil from dpf regeneration

mercedes says to wait 5-10 seconds on before you pull the dipstick back out after some om6xx engines blew up from to much oil in the 90s

Isn't the red handle dipstick for checking hot oil and the yellow handled one calibrated for room temp or ambient temp?

Buy a 12v pump from Lidl. But buy some jubilee clips as well. I had close call when I drained Tx fluid with it

Hope you are enjoying your vehicle. Sorry about the bad product. I always think the ones that use shop air are better. Or there is one with a drill operation I think maybe by OTC or something similar. Customer coming in behind you at the end!

Is your shop still open to the public, and if so where is it located( in Northern California )?

Those old videos were great. The ones with them right outside your front door of little bungalow in the private drive. Seeing your wife take the laundry out to be washed. I think you meant "messing around" and not "messing up" because you taught me a lot from the old ones as well as new. Even the one with the old shop that looked like an old car port. No lifts back then.
