Mercedes Benz GLC300 check engine light

Wife informed me that our GLC300 just had a CEL. She had refueled yesterday. So like you said at the beginning of this video, it was a "P0442 - EVAP Leak Detected (Small)" code. I love my Foxwell NT301!!!! Previous reader, that I had, would only give you the code. BUT this one gives you a brief description of what's wrong. Someone had told me that MBs didn't have any OBD2 connections, or that I would have to talk it to the dealership (60 miles away) to get it read/reset. Glad that I found your video.

Thanks alot you’ve saved me 🤞🏼a bunch of monies. My light began to illuminate while driving but it never flashed to warrant there was a major concern. I purchased the OBD II code reader as you suggested and followed the steps you provided and received a code error. I was elated to know the method you presented helped. As a first time Mercedes Benz owner I am swift to ensure all maintenance is performed as required so when my engine light illuminated I was thrust with the who, what, and why’s.

Just make sure that you investigate what the code number is and address the problem. Don’t just clear it because it may be something else.

Your supposed to plug it in, then power the car ON. (Don’t turn the car on just power it). It then will give you the check engine code.

Actual the message will come on the dash for fuel cap loose and the Emergency fuel light will be flashing along with check engine light on. Junk scanner you need a scanner that can read CAN-BUS like a iCarsoft MBII (Code I got is a P04427A)

The engine light check just poped up in My c63 2013 today, I don’t know why, I was cruising very peaceful, I don’t feel any difference, I only have X pipe as a mod

Hi, I don't know if this is of any help however I've recently discovered that in order to get rid of my annoying engine management light that comes on for seemingly no reason. To do this I just start the car and then with the engine running I turn the key to crank it...then turn it off and back on quickly before the engine dies...I do that roughly 4-5 times..it takes less than 10 secs.and the lights goes out. In the handbook it tells you on diesel engines if they run low/out of fuel to start the car 4-5 times and if the light goes out no further action is required.

i ahve glc 250 petrol 2018 and i changed the front brakes (they are sport brakes and rotors. the brakes in the back they are regular brakes not sport) my mistake not make the computer settings before i change them. however, after changing front brakes i did try to reset the brakes in maintenance section of the car front screen but it did respond .......any solutions? FYI, you are so good man... i do panic and you taught not to ... respect ✊

My engine management light has come on it’s solid I bought the vehicle yesterday it had reserved fuel in it spoke to my dad he has an Audi sq5 he said that the came on in his car he put adblue in and it didn’t come back up is this what the light could be for on mine ?

You need to buy GLA GLC CLA. Those are 100% made in Germany

Ha I was at KFC drive through left the car running opened the fuel cap Will the car running closed it and it went off. Legend . Hope that’s all it was :)

Shamelessly took this from the internet. How serious is the P2402 code? Code P2402 is an indication that the evaporative pump is shorted internally and other than failing emission tests and the check engine light being on, should not cause any drivability problems. What repairs can fix the P2402 code? Replace the evaporative pump and fuse. Replace the evaporative pump relay. Repair the evaporative pump connector pins for corrosion, melted, or loose connections.

I have an engine light on my E220 and a guy I know ran a diagnostic check and couldn't find anything. I've cleaned around the fuel cap and the light is still on so I have no idea until I take it to the main dealer 😒

Have them check the PCV, not a conventional looking thing but the oring seal goes bad on these cars causing vacuum leaks

@@WatsonsWagons So it turns out it was an adblue issue. This will be rectified next week. I know others who have had DPF issues so here we go again. We buy cars that are "eco friendly" we pay extortionate rates for fuel and whilst we pay about 170 euros in car tax (despite lack of repair to the public roads) we then get caught with paying out money for car repairs to our "eco friendly" cars.
