simpler to install a manually activated solenoid with an 80 amp fuse for the glow plug system. A momentary switch to activate the solenoid and you never have to think of this problem.

Why not a latching relay to pilot your 80A solenoid if u would rather modify.. Would give u an automatic timed preglow without the nuisance of manually operating..?? Food for thought. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Redundancy is the key to longevity. Rather than forgetting and burning the plugs out.. u did say momentary i see though. Im only human. 😂

My 190D has a problem with this estimate. But not the fault of the relay, the signal does not come from the ignition to the relay when the ignition is turned. Could it be the contact group to blame?

I am adding 1oz. two cycle oil per 5 gallons of gas in my 1990 300TE per your recommendation, my ratio might be a little different. My question is 'I have a habit of shifting into neutral at a stope, is that a good practice and are there lubrication points on the linkage I should be concerned with?'
