My hood won't "pop up" that tiny bit after pulling the lever. I have to have someone hold the hood up then jam my fingers in to open it like you're doing at the start of the video. Any suggestions for fixes would be appreciated

I would try cleaning and lubricanting all moving parts with lithium grease or just grease period. This includes hood hinges. Try to avoid WD-40 as it is not a lubricant. What it sounds like to me is the hood latch spring is tired and needs replacing. Also you may want the check the hood bump stops. They provide upwards force on the hood, keeping it from moving while driving. They also provide the same upwards force when popping the hood open.
