Does the 2021 MercedesMeConnect have a "Remote Start Button" on the HomeScreen of the app? I've seen it on the older MeConnect apps I think. I only see the Remote Start option if you click on the "Engine" icon from the HomeScreen, and then have to click START. There's no fast/convenient way?

All I see is remote start with the app for mercedes. Bmw does remote start with their app as well as clicking the lock button on the key fob three times. Worth giving it a try on the mercedes key fob.

Just use the key and the functions will be re-activated as long as there is not problem with the system or the key. The keyless-go option to turn on or off is all in the key itself. Meaning, when it gets disabled, it has nothing to do with the car.

how funny! I just asked the same question regarding remot-start through the App (just got my 2021 car today) --- we can keep each other posted if we find out info because I wouldn't mind remote starting from my remote/fob (as it's faster)

@@chrismainville720 It looks like it can't be through the remote. It has to be through the MercedesMeConnect app on your phone... and then it's weird because once you start it from your phone it has to shut-off again once you get near with your FOB and enter your car.

Remote start only came available in most 2019 vehicles. Since then all new cars have Mercedes Me connectivity App which allows you to start the car from your phone. The module has not yet been released to retro fit older models. There are options for installing aftermarket modules, however I would not recommend doing this within the warranty period.

​@@BriNJ1983 It is a safety feature that the car shuts off when you approach the car after starting it remotely from your phone to insure the person who is getting in does have the physical key on them. When you remote start the car the doors remain locked until it recognizes the key.

When you get back to your car, 1: unlock it with the remote, 2: lock it again with the keyless function by touching the square sensor on your door knob (may not be square pending the model and year of your mercedes) 3: once you complete steps 1 and 2 the keyless entry function will reactivate instantly. - You've probably figured that out by now, but just in case. 👊🏾🙏🏾

Easy, when u use the car the next day, you’ll have to just tap the key/ unlock button and it’ll revert back to its old self ie if you want disable the keyless entry you’ll have to repeat the same steps like in vid again. It’ll a disable once u use the keys next day like I explained Hope that helps
