Fantastic video, well explained. You can never have too much detail :) Q: Did you ever change the EGR valve or PCV valve? If you do please make another vid with all the details. Cheers!

Thanks - sure! Is it using the button on the trunk / the button in the car and the key? Do they all cause it to play up sometimes or is it only via the button on the tailgate for example?

Great video sir! Mine is the exact same as yours! 2013 and sitting at 310 000 km! Runs flawlessly except for a very minor oil leak (known problem with the oil cooler seals). The leak is only noticeable when I remove the belly panels during my 10k km OCI. Did you have any problems with the oil cooler seals?
@thatmatty231guy4 ай бұрын
Hi there, ours hasn’t had this issue yet. Great to see you have over 300,000km! I can’t remember where the oil cooler is? But if it’s only noticed when removing the belly pan I wouldn’t say it’s urgent, my 2x E55’s up until recent have been regularly dripping on the floor… just need to keep tabs on the level. But I’ll check mine this service and see if it’s leaking at all.

Great informative vid. I have just bought one of these What milage is this at? what interval is fuel filter and when would you guess the PCV valve needs preventative replacement? Thanks heaps
@thatmatty231guy10 ай бұрын
Awesome, hope u enjoy the car. The fuel filter off the top of my head is 2 years or 20,000-30,000km. I’m doing mine every 20k :) the PCV I’ve just done recently - it should be only something you need to do every 6-8 years or 100,000km if not more so only once in a blue moon 😊 This one has now 146,000km, apart from rear suspension it’s been flawless 😊

Thanks for the reply. Prob going to be expensive trip. I can’t work on it myself anymore. Prob just got bored with mundane super reliable Toyotas😀😀😀

@@glenb4783 are you based in Aus? uSA? Canada? It’s a bit of a mission just to get the screws off the back of the engine otherwise it’s not too hard. But yes reliable Toyotas are easier no doubt - just can’t beat a less reliable Mercedes haha :)

Are optical/canbus decoders not required? How does it get sound?
@thatmatty231guy10 ай бұрын
The laptop Star has a decoder / multiplexer box, I don’t think you can connect without one of those.
