Great video. It never fails that when you drop something it always ends up in the last place you look for it!!! You have the same luck as me!! I'll leave this one for my mechanic. I tried to remove the mass airflow housing (Bat Wing) and the oval orange gaskets didn't re-seat properly. Gave me all sorts of engine sputter issues.

Those rubber gaskets change outs On that turbo inlet are great. Those end up looking like a rear main leak or engine cooler leak

I have an X166 and the same issue. Looks similar, except for the breather hose, mine looks different.

Thank you for the tutorial. Very helpful and much appreciated. I'm 90% of the way there, hung up on getting the Air Pipe (the silver pipe) back in to fit properly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hi, did you grease the green silicone and black rubber rings? the black air damper has a bit of play, so it should fut pretty easy. goodluck

Is that air flow sensor what you take off in the first 3mins in this video ?I have a engine yellow problem I think the problem is the dirty sensor 😂
@kenkanfix Жыл бұрын
hi, yes the air flow sensors are in bat wing that I took out at 2.30min in the video, unfortunately you can't clean it 😕. I have another video that showed that, it's in the ML350 playlist. goodluck

What are those black and green seals called? Can't find them anywhere. Maybe should call nearest dealership...
@kenkanfix Жыл бұрын
Hi, the green o-ring is part number A0149976445 it is part of the air intake diagram. The black o-ring is part number A0279974745 it is part of the charge air intercooler. You can get these part numbers from partsouq.com, you just need to enter your VIN

I cannot locate the part numbers shown for the hoses in anywhere?
@kenkanfix2 жыл бұрын
not sure why that is, I can only assume the one on your car is not Mercedes branded
@phernand19 Жыл бұрын
I realize this is 6 months later, but these part numbers are not in Mercedes Xentry. The OE part on min 15 X166 is not in there either. I have the parts diagrams from MBUSA and they show a separate pressure sensor and separate hoses, but the hose numbers do not match. The p/n on the bag in the video comes back to an auto transmission "repair kit" on a W221 (S-Class). I found A6420706181 in Xentry that appears to be the same as 5381 - but it does not cross-reference or show as a replacement. Description is Fuel filter to high-pressure pump; KRFTST.SCHLAUCH MIT DRUCKSENSOR.

No way those air flow pressure sensor harness would of came off that easy. I suggest for others soak it with some lube spray (WD40) first and also lube up the coil pack harness plug as well. I broke so many lock clips for the air pressure sensor and the coil pack harness plug lock clips.
