Mercedes dealerships largely employ this vacuum suction method of extracting engine oil during servicing...so I'm going to give it a try too. Thx again for a super video.

Good video, this is how I do it too. So much easier than getting under the car and I think it is just as effective as removing the drain bolt. I still get under the car every now and again though to check the underside. Important to add it is much easier to vac out the oil after a run so the oil is nice and hot and any debris in suspension.

At last someone clever. Cleaner, faster.. No risk to break the sump. I forgot to write it because I think it's a known aspect. If you put hands on a mercedes, I think you know the basic things. But thank you, I'll write it in description. All the best :-)

Hello, love your videos! Started with your transmission service and now this! Would you recommend liquid moly engine flush before emptying the old oil? Or would you recommend emptying the old oil, add the new oil, idle for 10-15 minutes and then add the engine flush, idle for 10-15 minutes and the empty the “old-new” oil, and finally add the new oil ? Hope it makes sense what I am trying to write :)

@@AlaGamesMobile hi, I'm not qualified for answering but honestly I'd avoid engine flush unless your engine has really high mileage

@@AlaGamesMobile if you changed the oil often probably you can avoid it. In the other case I'd recommend to follow carefully liqui moly instructions

Very easy...I really would like to do this bit am worried about the lack of service history when its time to sell. Also 3rd party warranty requires service by approved mechanic

In that case let the garage do it :(

Great video for us novices! Clear and instructional. It's not in your video, but could you tell me how many litres of oil were actually extracted by your vacuum pump device? Thx.

Should I continue pumping 30-40 minetes nonstop? After oil filter unscrewed? Or what do you mean? Or shoul i wait this time after unscrewing the filter and star pumping! How warm the engine must be Thank you!
@ticktime6569 Жыл бұрын
After you unscrew the filter, all the oil will go down to the sump. It requires a little time, so wait about 10 minutes and then start sucking and you're fine

On the W204, you need to tilt the car to get all of the oil out through the plug... Sucking removes 100-200 ml more oil as compared to a car at level surface and through the plug.
