You can skip first step that’s include to remove the mirror if you like, you can remove plastic cover anyway. Stressed out making this install did not do proper homework before. Not really necessary to remove the cable from the signal don’t know why I did that 🤣 Hope you like the video if not you can find more of this installs on other channels 👍

Thanks - was able to replace the indicator on a W246 B180 within 5 minutes - did not even need to remove the mirror. Just line up the mirror so it is parallel with the joint between the black main mirror assembly arm and the colour casing. You can then just pull the casing off upwards - leaving the mirror in place. Had to apply a bit of pressure using a trim removal tool on the front side of the assembly - i.e. below the clear indicator plastic - where the casing meets the black arm and the casing just lifted upward clean off.

Nice! It’s on my list but need to wait because the garmin unit I going to install it’s about 400€ the best I could find still not feel it’s 100% good and the china kit feels not that good 🤔 What brand are you using?

Ok, but how does it look like from the rear side, are they visible? This is the main purpose of these signals. Unfortunately you haven't shown this.

@@MB212 Hi. I mean that the primary function of these side turn signals is to indicate your intention to turn to the drivers who are driving on the next lane (on your left or right), right? For this purpose, they gently go back beyond the mirrors so you should see their blinking light from the rear of your car. How does it look like with those you have installed? It would be nice to demonstrate this, because they're not just decorations but have a certain safety function. Thanks.

I got you know mate did not even reflect about that when change them out. But looking to older it seems they are bit more visible from the side compare to those ones. If you like I can send you video on snapchat ( lilgnistan ) can not edit this video unfortunately.

You're right from the rear this turn signals are not so good as the original. I mean you can see it but not as well as the original. I was disappointed about this point when i did the installation.

Those are nice, however, you should have went with the Dynamic Syquqential LED lights that Have LED WHITE, OR BLUE LED, when your unlock or lock your car, I just ordered a set off of DMP Design, they look Sick, way better than just blinking lights lol!!!! Something to think about, it helps if you have Puddle lights though.....

I have tried 3 different versions of these, on 2 different Mercs - one from 2013, and the other from 2016. I also tried them with a bench rig, using an old school flasher can from the 90's, and all worked fine. On the Mercs, they all gave error messages about bulb failure. None of them lit all of the LED's in the strip (only about 80% of them at most). 2 of the 3 versions also caused the other bulbs to stop working - either the front, the rear, or both. I tried all sorts of series resistors, and other 'Canbus Fixes', but never got them working correctly. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?

Ok, I'm trying to pop off the plastic black part like you did so seemingly easily. It's taken the strength of 1000 SUNS and It is still stuck. I don't want to break anything but I'm damn near ready to HULK pull on the thing. Anybody else having same issues with the big plastic piece he pops off after the mirror????
