Maybe Sprinter/Mercs, but my Fiat Scudo had galvanised panels and stone chips never rusted beyond the actual chip.

I worked at that plant in Germany. They only put on 2 coats of paint. I have a 2014 RAM Promaster with 597,000 miles on it. Absolutely no rust anywhere.

Indeed, the Sprinters are such rust buckets. I never understood why my 20 year old Toyota is rust free and 5 year old Sprinters are all rusted out until I saw this video.

Its not only rustproofing but wrong design. Water penetrate below plastic covers on sides and stays inside in the corners.

@@niallguiver2861 definitely not as many people used to say about these cars: "Build to last". Also new engines are not as good as old diesels Sprinter used to have. They could run millions km but now after 150-200 hundreds km you spend more and more time in workshop :( People running fleets of these trucks say that now difference between Sprinter and all Ducato/Boxer/Masters is only prestige.

Party R Us is a real problem on this vehicle it's rusting everywhere and it's a brand new vehicle where all the seams are put together on the van the main panels on the van or rusting where they put together there's some sort of glue or putty to use that's not completely watertight allows water to get the seams and rust in places you can't even see
