Freight-liner pulled away from from sales of the Freight-liner Sprinter, I was told the Company did not want to tarnish the Freight-liner image. Freight liner did stay with the service of the Vans, staying in the repairs of Sprinter Vans was a Gold Mine in revenue.

Ahora han sacado la Sprinter con traccion delantera pero sigue manteniendo el suelo 15 cms mas alto que p.ejem la Peugeot Boxer, Jumper, Master de Renault, Movano etc y por tanto 15 cms mas alta en exterior, con el choque de aire y tambien mas estrecha que las mencionadas y esto se acusa que cuando se camperiza no se puede dormir a lo ancho. Yo tengo una Sprinter del 2008, la pintura al poco tiempo se puso mate y le salen puntos de oxido por doquier, no puedo abrir las ventanillas en marcha porque se mete los gases del escape, se estropeó sin mas la cerradura de arranque con el bloqueo de volante, se estropeó sin mas 2 veces el climatizador, los espejos exteriores de pronto se han ido cayendo despegandose, el asiento me da dolor de espalda, hace bastante ruido el aire, los pasos de rueda, y el motor, la goma de la ventanilla lleva años haciendo un chillido horrible al bajar y subir el cristal, en las cuestas arriba se me viene abajo descargada me adelantan los camiones motor de 129cv....claro es que pagué 10.000€ mas que otras marcas por ser esta marca premium.

Да-да. Наносят герметик на голый, никак не защищенный от коррозии, металл. В этих местах и появляются очаги коррозии которая распространяется по всему кузову превращая всю машину в ржавое ведро с болтами и гайками. Браво.

Nice video. Too bad that these vans are so heavy. Not much payload. The floor is high due to rear wheel drive. And they rust very fast. Also the body is a bit narrow. The design and quality perception is great though:)

I would like to know why is Mercedes Benz in general a very expensive option ,I can't see them being any better and in many cases worse than rivals, so what the hell is the catch, I drive a Lexus rx and I wouldn't compare it with a Mercedes, it's much much better, more comfort more power than the ordinary mercs no rattles or squeak s no oil leaks or water leaks, mine has just clocked 426000 miles,,not one thing wrong with it, except it's looking a bit dated now its coming 13 years old, but I don't care, it's the only vehicle that I can say that I truly love,,effortless power 300 bhp, 34 miles to the gallon,,,,I would like to see you getting that out of a diesel jeep with the same bhp ,,no chance it would be in the low teens and maybe 7 or 8 miles per gallon, I can't understand why people haven't caught on about this fabulous vehicle, if you ever drive one you will be hooked straight away ,s

I'd LOVE to see a Sprinter MADE in Germany since 99.9% of them are made in Mexico, Brazil or MISSISSIPPI (USA)!!! ALL the engines are made outside of Germany, most in Mexico according to the castings (Heico En Mexico). The electrical systems are made by Denso just across the Rio Grande in Mexico (you can see the plant from the bridge, next to the HUGE freon plant). But WTH, 99% of ALL "German cars" aren't built in Germany anymore. BMW has more cars/SUV's built in the US than anywhere (98%), VW builds MOST cars in Mexico and Brazil and same with Benz. BTW, how many Honda Accords have been built in Japan??? NONE!!! 100% of them have been built in Marysville, OH, USA-same with Toyota Camry's! Been to both plants and toured them.

I have a 2009 2500 high topper 170 wheel base, it is rust bucket, the roof has developed nickel size holes, the cargo bed has rust so bad in places that the floor needs total replacement. I have spent $18,000 USD on mechanical repairs. I have owed several over the road tractors, 900 Kenworths, Volvo , 379 Pete’s. Never have I had any commercial truck as outrageously over priced and undependable as a Mercedes Sprinter Van.

Probably the best van in the category. But for 5 ton version Avoid the 516 And jump straight to 519 v6. The om651 is a great engine but not in a 5 ton sprinter And stick with manual gearbox It's a great gearbox much simpler I had a 516 manual. Was a lemon with bad engine ,

Sprinter - corossion and rust after 4-5 years ... LOL. i strictly recommended Iveco daily - far better anticorrosion protect - HiMatic - automatic 8 gearshift cheaper price - Mercedes should learn from Iveco how to biuld everlasting utility cars... not weak pitty rusty expensive shit..
