I think that w124s are one of the best design Mercedes and it is very reliable from what I used. I use w124 e280 4 door with 400k miles on the clock and never breaks down

Amazing build guys!! Quick question: Is it ok to have the Airlift manifold at the same height as the tanks. I was lead to believe it had to be higher to avoid damage from the moisture in the tank dripping down into the manifold. I ask because I am installing Airlift right now and want to set it up the same as you have in spare tire compartment but the Airlift instruction manual states the manifold height issue. Thank you

The cab version of the w124 is soooo undervalued at the moment. When people wake up, these are going to explode in value. My dream merc is the w124 big grille pre facelift cabriolet in black and black leather sitting on amg splits and gen 1 body kit replicating the early AMG 3.4 version. But has to be gloss black. Now that’s a tasty car. Saw one on sale in South Africa 🇿🇦. I’m a woman folks with good taste. 300te 4matic is my everyday school run car. If only men were as reliable as a w124

The only problem is, the sub box takes up the trunk. No space or very little space for anything else.

I would have changed the suspension arms too. Way too rusty and since you are there it makes sense to upgrade bushings, pins, arms, everything. And brakes too.

Awesome work and digging the modified AMG's to 3 piece. The only thing you missed when it was in the paint shop was painting the lower half all in matching body colour - it makes a "huge" improvement

I do like an old Merc and with those wheels your W124 Coupe looks amazing. However, I would be wary of even driving it for fear of damaging them or getting them dirty. Boring I know but the practical side of life needs too be considered. I often factor in how easy the wheels are to clean when purchasing another vehicle. How boring is that!
