Hello Andy. I have the same car as you. Yesterday the engine stopped when I stopped at a red light. Try to start it but it won't start. The engine turns, but it has the same effect as when you want to start the car with the car closed (lock activated). This happened 3 times previously, but with 2 attempts it started again. The engine was working perfect before this. Now my mechanic is diagnosing. The issue is that he got a Mercedes scanner but the ecu is not powered. Do you know where the problem could come from? Thanks a lot

Sorry to hear. I'm not 100% sure if w140 has the OVP relay, check the fuse on top of it. Whats clear you've lost ECU, could be communication (canbus) problems or you've lost power to the ecu, my guess.
