Even though you did not finish, you helped me a lot. The mirror does come out by pulling it though. It is on a very strong spring that pushes pins outwards but with enough force, you can overpower the springs and the mirror will come down. Very helpful information about the clips though, thank you!

Yep still beating myself up that i didnt finish i saw some other guy pull the mirror down but it really feels like its going to break and i dont wanna break anything so i gave up i will send it and finish it one day but for now its not that bad.

To take off the rearview mirror there are 3 screws there that you have to remove.

I didn't see any screws does it sit behind that cover where it's attached to the roof? It had to be something it didn't wanna budge at all

how did you disconnect the sole wire on the right? i do not see how to release it

They all clip on the side but that one on the right by the blue connector must be disconnected I remember it being simple but there's a bit of wire still on the light housing its the only way. I honestly forgot just how it sits but yaa this job left me baffled I still never got out the headliner its such a hectic job. I mean putting on another head on the engine was simpler than this.😅

There's a guy in kraaifontein Big Boy Customs. They do it so quickly. Not sure if they've done a merc yet. But they redo headliners all the time. Shot for the video though.

So few videos of this, I wanted to upgrade the infomedia system and change the shark fin antenna for a dab+gps+fm one but this seems like such a hassle I don't even want to bother doing it haha.

I know ìts a huge hassle for sure. Someone told me i was really close theres a glue holding the foam against the metal of the roof once that breaks free it should come out but it felt like it was gonna break the board so i stopped.

@@YusufPetersenCPT actually the headliner is held in place by the door trim on the sides and on top by 5 Velcro, there's no glue involved.

Really i moved all that out the way it did not want to part from the roof panel i even stuck my hand behind it. Theres alot i didnt get on video as i was struggling for a good while.

Yusuf, i went to the junkyard today and practiced on a scrap car. I would politely suggest u try the same. Free practice car. I learned everything. Your next move is to fold the rear seats down and take off the sides beside the seat and the surround of the seatbelts off. Its a long job but easy when u see the 'tricks' they used to assemble it. Hmu on fb messenger by my name u see and ill talk to u on messenger if u need help. My sunroof screen jammed and ill be fixing it next few days finally. Thanks again.
