That was awesome. Any idea which number gvies reading of alternator or parking sensors. After tinting my car the side mirrors and parking sensors are playing up as battery was drained in the process.

Hey Habz Rahman thanks for watching my video. First number 24 on the display is Battery Voltage which would give you an idea if your are charging somewhat correctly if you put the car on, turn the lights, AC on and radio while ideal would give you a good idea what you are charging at. If your car battery died and things are acting up electronically afterward but working it is because they need to be readjusted , re-sync or relearn procedure. To my understanding you have a W220, I would google search W220 readjust mirror or check your owners manual. You may also want to check if you have fault codes stored in the SAM units. Your parking sensors may need to be recalibrated as well. The only way I have worked with the parking sensors was through the Mercedes Benz software or an something that can access all computers in the car. Please share an update, thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I recently had the sensors fixed as 7 were faulty. The side mirrors and sensors went all wonky after my tints were done. They had to boost the battery as ignition was on for 4 hours. Before was so sleek and fast...might need alternator tested but its funny it said 14 volts plus 12v quick on your button test
@WheelsTips4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the update, whenever the battery dies it leaves behind residual gremlins. It is best to use a battery test tool if you are having consistent issues as the tool will be more accurate.

@@WheelsTips it is actually pretty simple disconnect the battery charge it to full capacity after that reconnect the battery and then you can start with all your windows and sunroof open to full position and closed to full position while the car is running everything should go back to normal

Thinking about buying one of these, I was just wondering can you plug a car charger up in this car?
@WheelsTips5 жыл бұрын
Hey Malachi T thanks for watching my video. How many miles does the one you are looking at have? Does it have service records? How many owners? It is always best to get all these details to make an informed purchase.

Thank you for the codes. I am already subscribed to your wonderful channel. I pulled down the console above the rear view mirror. fixed the sensor. But now there is no power to that console AT ALL. NOTHING WORKS. Checked all the fuses and all fuses are good. What did I miss and what went wrong? Did I burn the whole board? Thanks for your help.
@WheelsTips6 жыл бұрын
Hey alibaba66able, I would recommend sending the unit out for testing. You can get them what is known as re-manufactured and tested. This will save you a big headache. Let me know how it goes.

I actually cut what I soldered earlier and all the lights started to work LOL. But a week later I noticed that I have forgotten to place that black plastic cover. I thing if I solder back the sensor and use the black plastic cover all would be well. I shall let you know. Thanks for the reply and the info.

Im having starting issue with my 2005 s430 i did your method my battery voltage is flashing 11.8 i see that you said it should be 11.9 my question is with it flashing 11.8 would cause periodically starting problem
@WheelsTips4 жыл бұрын
Hey Andre Douglas thanks for reaching watching my video and reaching out. To start do you have a check engine light on? Also do you end up jumping your car to get it started? You may have many other issues rather than the battery 11.8 is not a bad voltage (compared to 9.5 or 10). It is possible your starter is weak or if you live in a cold area and just started to have starting problems your cold cranking amps in the battery maybe not at 100%. Sometimes people also have fuel issues depending on the local temperature coupled with weak fuel pumps. Please share an update, thanks.
@andredouglas88904 жыл бұрын
Thanks for replying im in Wisconsin and the temperature is really cold but the car starts just take a few a tries
@WheelsTips4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the update Andre Douglas, I do not have much experience with those temperatures. Have you tried to turn the ignition to position 2 a few times before start to try and prime the fuel? I personally also am a fan of servicing the fuel filter every 60k -80k just my humble opinion. Please share have you ever serviced the fuel filter?
