The MK1 model C-Class coupe was Mercedes' rival for the popular 2-door versions of BMW's 3-series and Audi's A5. Based on the third-generation 'W204 C-Class' model and launched in 2011, it was a more clearly focus coupe than some of the company's previous models, cars like the CLC, the CLK and the E-Class coupe all failing to live up to expectations. Lower roofline aside, this C-Class coupe looks almost identical to the saloon it's based on and shares that car's engines and interior.

My 2012 c class AMG is honestly the best car I’ve driven/owned and I’ve driven lots of cars including BMWs and Audis. The Mercedes feels sumptuous, sporty and exceptionally well put together. I also think the engine sounds great when you put your foot down. If you are looking for a luxury, sporty car, then the c class AMG Is very much worth looking at. 220/250 are both great engines and the combined mpg on my 220 is at 54 mpg and that’s in sport mode.

@@CarandDrivingCarReviews pls answer this question: would rather have 2012 merc c class, the 2012 BMW 3 series or the 2012 audi a4? For me I'm leaning towards the merc but I need a pro opinion as I have never driven any of them

Hi there, the Audi is better built, the BMW is better to drive and the Mercedes is more luxurious if properly Specced- it depends what you're looking for.

Best in-depth review I've seen so far congratulations guys! Quick question as I'm thinking about purchasing a 2012 unit of this model and I'm somewhat puzzled. So it's a c180 CGI blue efficiency model but I'm only finding info about the c180 Kompressor model!! What's the difference between the 2 models/engines?? Thank you in advance! 👍👍

cgi has a turbo and a newer engine , kompresor has a affcourse compressor and it is older engine design
