Nox sensors go on them all the time. All i do is check the power and CAN wires at the sensor and if that is ok then it will need a sensor. Nox sensors are major back order due to being such a common fault. And on mercs the dpf fill level is ok upto 80% anything over that will req a regen.

Hi Sandy dealt with many of these nox faults and the only way to diagnose properly is using Mercedes star to follow diagnostic procedure in order to correctly diagnose, once carried out software and Id updates are required, just replacing the nox sensor that the fault relates too will bite you speaking from experience

Sandy had an issue with one of these 8 months ago. It had NOX codes in it. Mercedes told me that there was a software update for the NOX sensors and if that did did not fix the fault it would need 2 NOX sensors. Over 500.00 quid each. Customer did nothing .

Nox sensors are very common there is also Supple issues with the dealer, adblue solution would be my advice if they want to save money lol sensors r 500 pounds each

Maybe remove ad blue injector and actuate it to see if it is spraying as it should, have an ML in with the same fault code recurring

great video. I have a mercedes c class w205 2015 year, c 250 diesel. I cleaned the adblue injector . he turned on the check engine light. p220162 The NOx sensor (cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction. The Signal Cimparmision is Faulty. when I clear the error it is gone for 20-30 days or 50-60 kilometers and then it appears again. how do I know which sensor it is, upper or lower, what should I do?

Why does my check engine for Nox sensor come on and off like going away for couple hundred miles and come back on for couple of hundred and than disappear again is been repeating like that ? Please help.

Mercedes is like Rangerover u have to tell it via scan tool when u replace part!

I had cleared codes and ran teach in process on Nox, car went to main dealers because of extended warranty on Nox but Merc wouldn't repair as I had cleared the codes, customer is running it until codes reappear. Note to self do not clear codes on a Mercedes 😭

Unfortunately, I am one of the customers with this issue. However, code reading P22A0 and P229F. The garage gave me a copy of the reading, had the Nox sensor inspected by an auto electrician which confirmed there were no issues with the units. Rang Mercedes’ and they have said it needs to be booked in to be looked at for £110. Apparently they did an update on them in 2019 on my car, however, they didn’t mention this to me as the car was just in for a reversing camera fault. Any suggestions on what to do in this circumstance? @sandy anderson

@@stevmadden3592 regardless of the “electrician” saying they are good. It’ll need both nox sensors replacing and then teaching in. I do these 90% of the week and fixed the issue. Sometimes the update helps most the time it doesn’t do anything

Problems when changing NOx sensors Hello good day, I hope you can help me I have a Mercedes W205 C200CDI BLUETECH 2014, the vehicle has a check engine on, I get alarmed when I get the message that says AD BLUE, no start at 600 KM, I also start getting the message "Fill level measurement not possible" When installing The OBD 2 reader (thinkdiag pro) gives me the following: P229F NOx Circuit Range/Operation Sensor Group1 Sensor 2 U029D Loses communication with NOx Sensor A P2BA9 NOx exceedance - insufficient amount of reagent After changing the 2 NOx sensors 1 and 2, the sensor change configuration is then carried out with the OBD2 reader The "AD BLUE, no start at XXX KM" or "Fill level measurement impossible" warning does not go away and I only get a check engine code U029D87 The communication with the NOx1 sensor has a malfunction. message is missing Does anyone know what else I can do????
