Preaching to the choir, I had all the N/A greats, recently converted to turbo engine, I am never going back, the only 2 N/A cars I would ever want (I can afford) is a s204 c63 or the e39 m5 and I had both already. The c63 sounds amazing, so does the e39 mm5 but that 5 banger from audi is just so freakin nice, definitely the one I have, the 8p with the iron block still in it, sounds just different. @@troublemak3r134

Hi i love this car, it's about 18k here in Spain, it's so crazy to mantain each year? Insurance, taxes, etc? I know it's not a 2.0 turbo so it's not that cheap, but i love this car, obviously not for daily drive.

@@Dexspic Maintenance is low. I have owned mine for 11 years. The engine is bulletproof. It is a Clk Ammg 55 coupe.The car needs to be treated to stop rust. Electrics and ignition problems are the only thing to watch. The heating system gets issues. Generally as long as the oil is changed the cars runs fine. I get 32km to 1 gallon round town and 45 km on a motorway run. Apart from tyres and brakes and the odd suspension part there is very little to worry about. My coupe has done 120000km and is worth £8000 I would guess. It is a lot of car for the money!

You are not going to break the sound barrier but its fast. It is reliable and comfortable. I put 150k + miles on two C55s. White on black 06 only like 30 were made worldwide and Mars red there are even less. Food for thought.

It´s a C55T. Only 660 of these were built. Love that car. Downside is oil consumption. 1ltr per 1000km is normal (handbook), on Nordschleife it´s 1ltr per 6 laps (8:20 laptime).

Ah the owner of the flying wagon ;) This one only burns a litre every 2000-2500 km or so with 254,000 on the clock :) I thought only 595 were built. Certainly a rarity either way

These engines are Oversquared v8s, meaning they love to rev out due to their fairly short stroke compared to other v8s. The 7k rpm is really just a suggestion for longevity

They don’t make more power over 7k. Power takes a nosedive over 6k ish. I thought it was under squared. I’ve been trying to get these things to rev out so the drop off into the next gear isn’t so bad but they just wanna shift so early. Any thoughts? cus i dont see any vids of ppl shifting at 7k rpm or more if its even possible. di ahy tuners increase the rpm limits for these cars?

@@trae3290 honestly you are right the power dips past 6400 but they keep going up. For your issue with rpm, keeping it in sport with traction control off usually lets it rev a bit higher and it depends on speed too if you’re at the top of 4th floored it’ll redline all day

@@mrb8158not quite so simple as that. M113k features lower compression ratio and some different uprated components vs m113 NA block. Supercharger yes but upper limit is around 500hp without significant mods

@@mrb8158 it would be cheaper to get a whole E55 engine and swap it. But you'll need the control unit as well and do some re-programming. The C55s control unit won't take a M113K motor.

They lose hp because of unmonitored air getting through the old vacuum hoses. After 20 years every M113 needs new vaccum hoses and oil breather hoses plus new gaskets for the EGR and throttle body. Plus it desperately needs cleaning of the throttle body and EGR valve, most M113 don't have them cleaned ever in 20 years of existence.

Had one of these for 100k miles, motor gave up the ghost at ~144k miles. Painfully slow transmission and only 5 speeds, but great for highway cruising.

Well well well its my car again a year on! Anyone interested in me bringing this back next summer for a proper top speed run with Max and Martijn? Oh and since this video the gearbox has had it's valvebody rebuilt and conductor plate replaced. Night and day difference in responsiveness. If people want it I will consider the detour to make it happen! 😊

The gear change is smooth just not quick :) Someone put m3 dct to C32 and it did 100-200 in 7 secs. So yeah C55 would be quick
