I think Module issues will be one of the main reasons for cars being written off in the future as manufacturers provide less and less support. Classic cars etc will be a whole new game in years to come. Well done and I’m sure you’ll only get busier.

@@davyarthurs Thanks & yes indeed, I fully agree! Many faults on vehicles are due to data faults, hopefully we can keep future classics alive for all our enjoyment!!

Thanks sir، I think you must do the parameter reset via the autel 508 or 608

@@albazelt2872 Hi & thanks for watching, I tried Autel, Launch, Topdon, Thinkcar etc - none of them would code in a virgin unit, not on this model anyway! All the above are good tools but sometimes you just gotta use dealer tool!

What would have caused the original ecu to become corrupted?

@@ConesuelaLadyTailor Hi & thanks for watching!.. It’s hard to say what causes data corruption in EEPROMS, it can happen from flat batteries, especially when they have been flat for extended periods, jump starting can be a cause - voltage surges etc, sometimes they just randomly fail. I have seen corruption happen from people trying to remap cars and on clusters & BCM modules it can happen by people trying to read PIN codes or attempting mileage correction, on this job as it was bought with the fault it was a complete mystery!
