I'm just a fan of this car.
i like the looks of it and the interior design. it is big enough for 4 people good sized trunk and low and long. and the powertrain is just awesome raw german muscle the best you will get. 5.4ltr supercharged. winning noise.
this car is for the guy or girl that just want a sportscar but also a family car or room to take some people but still perfroming very good.
these cars are at a low point in value and i think the will not go much lower for a good low mileage car. the where only build for 3 years.
and it is the 1e generation.
i think this wil be a collector car. the are good quility and there is not much that will go wrong on this car.

I’ve done research on this m113 motor , it is one of MB RELIABLE V8....it is rated up to 750hp due to the supercharger...it can be tuned ...change the pulley on supercharger,ecu module, and modify the inter cooler....it is already a beast

Yes your right but this is An open deck engine block so the top of the cilinder liners are not supporter. So 750hp is about the limit of the block. The most reliable Mercedes V8 block is the m117 serie. If You take a low compression 5.6 V8 m117 the can handle in stock for easy 1000hp

Now tell me about the SBS/EHB brakes that are said to fail more often than not. Was there a recall or something? Is there a way of making them reliable? Near 500hp and failing brakes does not encourage me to buy one .. >.

I know that in the w211 this problem of accumulator falling and the pump also. But in 2005 there was a recall. On the cls i never know heard of problems . Most of Them are from after 2005

Yes . Personally i don't have experience with this issue . I only heard about the w211 models with this problem .
