Other option also possible is to read ignition switch anti theft immo info and write it to your new ecu will save you the headache of taking the car to the dealer or any other Mercedes specialty shop

I was watching this to see if I could do this myself ... then I saw the price of the hardware. For ~$1200 I think I would be better for me to just send my ECU to you to disable the immobilizer. Thanks for the awesome video though. I find seeing the code interesting. It's one of the reasons I got into computers :)

Great video..I have a w220 S320cdi With Bosch EDC16 A648 150 24 79 I suspect the eeprom with the immo data is corrupt. I have bought a replacement ecu with same part number. What is my course of action to get the car running? I presume I need to make the replacement ecu virgin?

Could you not just swap the chip from the bad ecu to the new ecu. It worked for me.

Once the ECU is "virginized" how the immobilized is set to work again? Or this change makes it the immobilizer is not needed anymore?

No virginize is done so you can program a used Ecu to another car otherwise you’ll have to buy a brand new Ecu

If there is no key and no Ecu I would look for a used set of Ecu key and ignition switch that will get the car started then you’ll just need to change vin

@@vehix411 I just ordered the key, eis, and ECU from a donor. Now if I can get the car at least to start then I can take it to a shop or dealer to get any remaining programming done. Can you explain to me what you meant by changing the vin? Thanks for replying man. You're a life saver! Bless up!

Hello Does this work for 2005 Chrysler Crossfire which is made by Mercedes ?? I wish I could remove the security all together . I lost one of my Transponder chips when I dropped my flip key on a dark road at night and my flip key exploded I found every part but the transponder chip so I took my last good key and cracked open the 2nd good flip key to glue transponder to transponder antenna and now my remote only works once car sits for about 20 minutes after starting car, it must know transponder is in car to keep you from locking key in car then after about 20 minutes then remote will lock and unlock car with the parking lights flashes. You can not even lock car with the interior lock button once car is turned off. This is a over kill security for a 16 yr old car. With no support and are very expensive to fix or replace a key if ya can get a replacement key. The cost to fix is more than I paid for my car. Unless someone can remove the transponders and SKREEM would be terrific. I have seen many try to do this and no locksmith will touch this car with a 10 foot pole . Chrysler nor Mercedes will help since this has a vin related key . I can get a cut key but with out transponder chip this car is useless. I need a cheap fix .Mercedes killed this car with this over kill security.
