I really like your review. In the same amount of time you tell more and more detailed information then other reviewers. In comparison to you other much bigger reviewers are very superficial. It's like they drive the car for two hours, tell only the brochure specs, charge it from 75% to 80% and complain that they don't the maximum charging speed.

Thanks for the comparison. VW looks fresh, the Benz somewhat outdated. But man the VW really looks cheap in the inside. One of the reason for us not to buy it. EQA is too expensive for what you get. And rear drive for the win.

Most of the negatives about the EQA mentioned are options I can remove or add in the configurator here (Netherlands). Like a lower suspension, the memory seats can be ticked off, etc.

15:50 that is not correct, there is a direct kW readout on the charging screen. Surprised you didn't see it, it's the default screen when charging and opening the door.

What are you talking about? I know you can see the charging power in kW in the EQA. You cannot see it in the App!

Isn't front wheel drive an advantage on wet and icy roads :)? Also I wish that VW allowed one to purchase an additional 3 years of warranty on the ID3 here in NL like you can in Germany. Surprisingly, Mercedes has this option for about €650 - at least according to my understanding.

Frontwheel has advantages. But the drive in normal conditions feels so much better with Rearwheel drive.
@orbiter32693 жыл бұрын
@@BatteryLife under normal conditions the wheel drive is irrelevant. I survived several conditions in wintertime and in the fall as I stepped out of my car saw the chaos around me and prayed that I had a front wheel driven car. It saved my life!

@Astrophysikus3 жыл бұрын
Nice comparison! Honestly, I would choose the ID.3 over the Mercedes any time. For the price of the EQA, you could even get the ID.3 with the large battery.
@sambhudayal10372 жыл бұрын
Any way EQA wins the high speed stabilty (less fear while driving in high speeds) test. Evidence is look at speed dial of each car while driving at high speeds. id3 goes well in 80km/hr(ok for city car) but benz >100km/hr, also more quick doesnt mean more stable at higher speeds..., also please dont compare benz with wv, it is humble request. For Benz, We are paying much for that high speed stability.

Personally opinion, it is getting a bit difficult to follow with kilowatt hours as capacity, kilowatt charging capability and kilowatt power. like the Video, do not like the whole outdated crap of Mercedes Tech and I know what I am talking of like the old factory in Vitoria around the old sugar plant paid by EU money back then in 1996, when the Vito first production started and the V-Class collapsed under poor quality and the VR6 engine from VW in exchange for the Crafter. It is again an outdated car like the EQV and so on, same for the next EQT based on citan, another cheap build Renault , crap made in an eastern european Renault supplier plant sold as expensive Mercedes Car with a screen that comes with a 3 cm bezel you had not seen for ages. This one here suffers from the high consumptiion and high weight. They also fooled the customer who will pay for 80 kWh but only 66,5 kWh are available. The difference is that this accelerates the charging considering that the real SOC from the cell manufacturer starts at 0% and ends with SOC 100% But Mercedes starts about 5% SOC from the manufacturer or 4 kWh and sets that for the display you see as 0%. From 4 kWh to 70,5 kWh is the useable bandwith, which internally based on cell is 87%. So what you know as SOC 0% to 100% is internally 5% to 87% and this lower top excelerates the overall charging, but you pay for that by lost net capacity of about 8,5 kWh cause VW gets along with 5 kWh instead of 13,5 kWh. And this is just scratching on the surface. If the EQS is not on level of Tesla things will get really serious cause all the current Mercedes EV are crap - based on competition and price, cause the Hyundai Kia Genesis plattform with 800V is destroying the EQA on any longer trip regarding charging and Infotainment and towing load and interior size, trunk and so on. Only company cars for employees will be sold in germany cause they are cheap for the employees in leasing .

Can you please share where did you get those buffer kWh and percentage figures ? Thanks
